Thousands of soldiers from Eritrea in civil clothing have entered Tigray province of Ethiopia as the border opened today. Eritrea has been trying to destabilize by supporting the Amhara tribal group against Tigray. Hundreds of Tigrayans in Amhara Region were killed and about 80000 were forced to leave Amhara Region with support of some Eritreans leaving in the area and Eritrea's government who have been working with Ethiopia's opposition led by Berhanu Nega and Enderagachew Tsge, the so-called Ginpot7-Patriotic Front, which has been operating with armed groups based in Eritrea.

TPLF seems to be more at the mercy of Issayas Afeworqi and has been begging Issay Afworqi not to attack Tigray. This however could be futile as Eritrea is sabotaging Tigray and Southern Ethiopia tribes by allying with Amhara and GURAGHE tribes, which have become more and more anti-Tigray and anti-Oromo.

We call Tigrayan patriots to oppose the mass migration of Eritreans to Tigray as this means more insecurity to Ethiopia and Tigray. The local government in Tigray should be involved in selecting who comes to Tigray or to Ethiopia via the Afar Region.

The transfer of good should be dealt with according to Internationa Law. Eritreans should pay in hard currency. Soldiers in civilian clothing should not be allowed to come unless privately to see their families in Tigray or for some other personal matter (medical treatment, holiday etc).
