Trump warns of 'painful' weeks ahead

Donald Trump has warned Americans to expect a "painful two weeks" as coronavirus deaths in the US peak - before suggesting people wear scarves as face masks in the fight against the virus.

In a briefing at the White House, the US president branded COVID-19 "a plague" and urged people to follow social distancing guidelines which have been extended until the end of April.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the world faces the most challenging crisis since World War II, confronting a pandemic threatening people in every country, one that will bring a recession "that probably has no parallel in the recent past."

There is also a risk that the combination of the disease and its economic impact will contribute to "enhanced instability, enhanced unrest, and enhanced conflict," the UN chief said at the launch of a report on the socioeconomic impacts of COVID-19.

ይሁንና የከተማ አስተዳደሩ አደረግሁት ባለው ቁጥጥር ታክሲዎችና ባጃጆች ትርፍ እየጫኑ መሆኑን ታዝቤያለሁ ብሏል ስለሆነም በፍጥነት የማያስተካክሉ ከሆነ የነዋሪውን ጤንነት ለመጠበቅ ከስራ ውጭ ለማድረግ እንደሚገደድ የከንቲባ ፅ/ቤት አስጠንቋል

ህጋዊ ባልሆነ መንገድ ከግዴታ ለይቶ ማቆያ በሚወጡ ሰዎች ላይ የሚወሰደው ህጋዊ እርምጃ ተጠናክሮ እንደሚቀጥል የጤና ሚኒስትር ዶክተር ሊያ ታደሰ ገለጹ።

ለኮሮናቫይረስ የሚያስፈልጉ ግብአቶችን ከአገር ውስጥና ከውጭ ተቋማት በማስገባት ያለውን አገልግሎት ለማሻሻል ጥረት እየተደረገ መሆኑንም ሚኒስትሯ አስታወቀዋል።

የኮሮናቫይረስ (ኮቪድ-19) ስርጭትን ለመከላከል ከመጋቢት 13 ቀን 2012 ዓ.ም ከሌሊቱ ስድስት ሰዓት ጀምሮ ማንኛውም ከውጭ አገር የሚመጣ መንገደኛ በተመረጡ ሆቴሎች ውስጥ በራሱ ወጪ ለ14 ቀናት ተለይቶ እንዲቆዩ የተወሰነ መሆኑ ይታወቃል።

የጤና ሚኒስትር ዶክተር ሊያ ታደሰ ከውጭ አገሮች የሚገቡ ዜጎች ቁጥር እየጨመረ መምጣቱንና ይሄን ከግምት ውስጥ በማስገባት ለይቶ ማቆያዎችን የማስፋት ተግባር እየተከናወነ መሆኑን ለኢዜአ ገልጸዋል።

ሆኖም የተወሰነውን ውሳኔ በመጣስ ከግዴታ ለይቶ ማቆያ እየወጡ በመሆኑ ሚኒስቴሩ ከፌደራል ፖሊስ ጋር በመተባበር ህጋዊ እርምጃ እየወሰደ መሆኑንና ይሄም ተግባር ተጠናክሮ ይቀጥላል ብለዋል።

ከሕብረተሰቡ የሚመጡ ጥቆማዎችን በመቀበልና በማጣራት ህጋዊ እርምጃ የሚወሰድ መሆኑን አስረድተዋል።

የኮሮናቫይረስ ለመከላከል እንደ አገርና ዓለም አቀፍ ትልቁ ተግዳሮት የሆነው የግብአት አቅርቦት እጥረት መሆኑን ጠቅሰው ይሄ ሁኔታ እንዲሻሻልም ከአገር ውስጥና ከውጭ ተቋማት ግብአቶችን የማሟላት ስራ መቀጠሉን ገልጸዋል።

ህብረተሰቡ አካላዊ ርቀትና የግል ንጽህናውን በመጠበቅ እንዲሁም ቫይረሱን አስመልክቶ የሚተላለፉ የጥንቃቄ መልዕክቶችን ተግባራዊ በማድረግ ስርጭቱ እንዳይስፋፋ ሃላፊነቱን መወጣት እንዳለበት ዶክተር ሊያ አሳስበዋል።

በኢትዮጵያ በኮሮናቫይረስ የተያዙ ሰዎች ቁጥር 29 መድረሱን የጤና ሚኒስቴር አስታውቋል።

የኬንያ መንግሥት የወባ በሽታን ለመፈወስ የሚጠቀሙበትን እድሜ ጠገቡን ፀረ-ወባ መድሃኒት ኮሮና ለፀናባቸው ህመምተኞችን ለማከም ልትጠቀም መወሰኗን የአገሪቷ ሲትዝን ቴሌቪዥን ዘግቧል።

የአገሪቷን የጤና ዳይሬክተር ፓትሪክ አሞዝ ዋቢ አድርጎ እንደዘገበው መድሃኒቱ የሚሰጠው በፀና ለታመሙት ብቻ መሆኑን ነው።

ዶ/ር አሞዝ አክለው እንደተናገሩት በአሁኑ ወቅት በፀና የታመመ ስለሌለ መድሃኒቱን አልሰጡም። አብዛኛዎቹ ህመምተኞች ለከፋ የማይሰጡ በመሆናቸው ክትትል እየተደረገላቸው መሆኑንም ተናግረዋል።

የአገሪቱ መድኃኒትና ቅመማ ቦርድ 'ሃይድሮክሲክሎሮኪን'ና 'ክሎሮኪን' መድሃኒቶችን ያለ ሐኪም ትዕዛዝ እንዳይሸጡም አግዷል።

ይህንንም ውሳኔ እንዲያስተላልፍ ምክንያት የሆነው የአሜሪካ ፕሬዚዳንት ዶናልድ ትራምፕ እነዚህ መድሃኒቶች ኮሮናን ለማከም ይጠቅማሉ ማለታቸውን ተከትሎ በአገሪቷ ከፍተኛ የሆነ ፍላጎትና ግዢ በማንሰራራቱ ነው።

በዘርፉ ጥናት ያደረጉ የህክምና ባለሙያዎች በበኩላቸው 'ክሎሮኪን' ተጨማሪ ጥናት እንደሚያስፈልገውና በአሁኑ ሰዓት ለኮቪዽ 19 መድሃኒት እንደማይሆን እየተናገሩ ነው።
