First of all Ethiopia isn’t going ahead with the mou that is for sure as long as it entertaining talks with the government in Somalia in turkey that means Somalia diplomatic efforts have worked . And they are scared to death to go ahead with the deal all Ethiopia is now doing is find a way to save face for it efforts as for the separatists in hargeisa bad for them the tried to bank in the Ethiopia galla boy but he can’t go through with the deal remember the lease of A potential port in Somaliland in exchange for recognition it seems what for Ethiopia was hard to swallow was to recognise Somaliland they didn’t had the means didn’t know what effects it would have . Hence they now want a way out. Alll now we want is for the Somali government to remain firm and tell Ethiopia they can’t have access via Somalia or via Somaliland because both are legally Somali republic territories .
Britain isnt going to recognise somaliland Britain always said it is up for the Somalis to decide how they going to determine their future the world doesn’t like unilateral secessions nobody entertains this if the uk was to recognise Somaliland they would have done this decades ago they have no interest to do so so no port or naval base for Ethiopia and no recognition for somaliland from Britian and certainly not from Ethiopia it’s been seven months Now we know the jig is up now let’s wait what horus and his paki friend in Addis Ababa bring forward now to entertain themselves .

you are responding to your own wishes. Remember, Ethiopia never said officially that they will recognize SLR but both Ethiopia and Somaliland are already doing everything as two independent counties. Ethiopia's vagueness is the raw meat they are throwing to AU. US, Turky ,EU etc. You can wish anything all you want. In January you made a joke on the very idea of Ethiopia seeking a maritime status and now Ethiopia's demand is all but an accepted fact and we are debating how we must do it.

in fact Turkey is playing on Hassan Sheiks stupidity. Turkey is about money, period. Turkey has billions of dollars interest in Ethiopia which she will lose if she opposes Ethiopia. So they are frantically trying this and that. Ethiopia did not ask to deal with Hassan Sheik. Eritreans are trying to sell their 10,000 army in Somalia protection deal Hassan- it is all about money. Hassan Sheik is an idiot who doesn't know what to do!!! Only Somaliland and Ethiopia have genuine national interest they will fight for. Everybody else is there to use Hassan Sheik. Here is the real beauty !!! Turkey has a plan where Ethiopia gets Somaliland ports without recognizing SLR!! that is the must stupidiest idea possible. My gut feeling is Ethiopia will not betray SLR at all. Both will play delaying tactics until a new diplomatic opportunity arises such as election of Odinga as AU Chairman (he is fierce supporter of SLR. In other words, AU could give the green light to Ethiopia/SLR to move. So no problem! SLR has lived without recognition for 30 years and Ethiopia without sea port. We can wait another 6 month. The frantic urgency of Turkey tells me something big is in the making.

Not true when the president of Somaliland muse visited Addis Ababa on jan 2024 . The president of somaliland sitting next to the prime minister of Ethiopia said somaliland will lease 40km coast land to Ethiopia for 50 years where they can build a naval force there they didn’t disclose the exact sport . In exchange for that Somaliland will be officially recognised by Ethiopia this is what the president of somaliland made clear next to him sat abiye Ahmed if it wasn’t true abiye Ahmed would get uncomfortable and say to to muse bihi not to say this in public but he did not ,he made it loud and clear later on few days later ridwan said that Ethiopia will get access to the sea via Somaliland lughaya and in exchange will be the first country to
recognise Somaliland ridwan said this also . So the president of Somaliland isn’t lying .

What did change though somalia defeated Ethiopia on the international diplomacy battle , that’s why Ethiopia is now backing down because of the pressure Somalia put on Ethiopia. That’s why they begged the Turks to mediate that’s why they begged the Kenyans to mediate. Now tell me for Somaliland if u don’t have recognition for them they won’t give u a sea access at all. Luckily it’s not something you can give. Because Somalia and Djibouti would recognise Somali region under Ethiopia occupation as an independent state . I know my brothers in Somaliland to well . So since u can’t give them recognition no sea for you . Somalia defeated Ethiopia on all fronts of diplomacy now the Ethiopians are. wanting a way out I just urge the govt of somalia to
Remain firm and not give an inch of our territory to Ethiopia for commercial or military purposes ,and there is nothing you can do so be honest next time. The whole mou was an exchange for recognition for a sea out let . Those were two pillars do the said mou. It just happend that Ethiopia got allot of pressure and they want to get out of the deal at least they want to get out of the recognition part . Turkey is pressuring Ethiopia to accept the one Somalia policy once Ethiopia does that the mou is dead .

Ethiopia can't take any further step with regard to its fake MoU, as it's fully aware that Somalia is now a member of the UN Security Council.

Ethiopia is done it has no cards any more the only other card it has is maybe violence and that will back fire for it will not only destabilise the region but Ethiopia it self . I think Ethiopia will remain its its geographic prison for the forseable future. Somalia has done an excellent job with its diplomacy
