you are right, I didn't listen to the video. My reaction to your post is simply out of my observation so far on how you look at the word መደመር and my message is, it should be better to try to understand the idea behind the word instead of just focusing on the philosophical meanings of the terms.

The idea behind the word, as far I understood it, is to overcome the challenge of cancelling each other and rather fortify each other's contributions to the whole.

Up until recently everybody comes in and first aims at canceling what has been there and start from the baseline afresh, including any other differing views.

Instead of doing that let's start with a new paradigm of strengthening each other's contributions, including those of our predecessors and our contemporaries and that is what I understand under መደመር .

ደርግ ሃይለስላሴን አጠፋ፣ ወያኔ ደርግን አጠፋ፣ ሁለቱም ተቅናቃኞቻቸዉንም አስወገዱ፣ ብቻቸዉን ቀሩ፣ ቦሃላ ላይ እራሳቸዉም ጠፉ፣ አገርቷ ደግሞ በልመና መኖር እጣ ፋንታዋ ሆነ። የዚህ ፈዉስ መደመር ነዉ ለማለት ይመስለኛል።

You remind me one other guy in this form who loses it when Dr Birr is criticized. How did this Union guy figured out there is a double in this forum who goes by two names H & S?
