my country Eritrea has been at the forefront supporting Ethiopia's bid for the RED SEA FORUM's membership

Fiyameta, is there any reason why Eritrea should support Ethiopia's bid to join the forum? On what grounds?

I don't get it why Colonel Abiy and his government are
insisting on joining the Red Sea Forum. What if Uganda or South Sudan ask to join the forum? Why is it different for Ethiopia? Forget TPLF remnants. We all know what their motives are but we shouldn't base our judgemnets on the need to countering TPLF hidden agendas. We should objectively question why Ethiopia wants to join the Forum? It is futile anyway on the part of Ethiopia because S. Arabia and Egypt won't allow it (as Cigar put it correctly) hence why Demeke is begging the white masters for assistance.
Shall Eritrea ask to join the Nile Basin countries although we are not part of it?
