In the last 34 years, how many leaders from Western nations have made official visits to Eritrea?
I recently learned that the sole Western leader to visit Eritrea was Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. Is that true??

Almaze, ምን ነካሽ። Is there is any reason for any western leader to visit Eritrea. Name one. You cannot.

almaze,
Great question. This is one of the reasons why I said Eritrea is a wrong idea to be a state. Eritrea does not meet the necessary requisites to qualify for statehood; that is, the ability to form foreign relations with other states. States form relations because they have something to offer to each other. In this case, there is none.

Almaze. I checked him out. Indeed, he visited first Ethiopia then Eritrea after Abiy and Isayes signed a peace agreement. I felt that information supported my belief — now, there is no reason a western leader to set foot in Asmara.

Don’t try to trap Almaz in this! You have no audacity to have a yardstick to measure if Eritrea meets criteria of being a country or not. You are one licey cadre of a dictator and nothing you say should be taken seriously.Horus wrote: ↑21 Nov 2025, 23:40almaze,

Eritrea has been fighting for more than a 1/4 century to be a country and achieved that. It is up to them to decide what suits them or not. Ethiopians have no reason to continue to fight with them for eternity. If they did not like to be part of Ethiopia, there should be no reason to bother them at all. If the port issue was not resolved in a way the the interest of Ethiopia was addressed properly, Ethiopia must find global diplomatic channels to put a pressure and resolve. The problem is the OPDO gangs and their minions lack such a skill and unlikely for them to succeed. May be a wait and see policy could be worth considering as shabiya won’t rule forever and a more business savy political group will take Eritrea. But it is possible for Eritrea to stay forever like cuba or North korea. Ethiopia has for now to focus on resolving its own conflicts and build all inclusive nation-unlikely with the current ethnofascists in place!

I still say Eritrea is humane and better managed than the subhuman galla, subhuman sodo and subhuman silte. As we speak, your dear leader, the sub-human galla by the name of Abiy is pleading for reconciliation with Eritrean leadership. The manner in which Eritrean officials controlled their emotions and dealt with the sub-human gallas is commendable and admirable. There is no comparison there. If there is anyone to speak against Eritrea, the sub-human galla, silte and sodo should be the lastHorus wrote: ↑21 Nov 2025, 23:40almaze,
