He never acted on the burning needs of the Ethiopian people. He never ran anything by a planned policy. He just functions like one of the arab dictators in the order of Moamar Ghadafi. He did not address the rotten ethnic ghettos, citizen abuse, abductions for ransom money, arbitrary killing, failure of the legal system, the ህገ-አራዊት ...the count goes on and on. What he knows the country he calls Ethiopia for covert purpose is just a collection of ethnically balkanized regions. He is happy about it. As meles called Ethiopia his burden from Menelik and never called Ethiopians my people, Abiy Ahmad from jimma (remniscent of Ahmad gragn in destroying the christian north) has yet to call Ethiopians my people to identify himself with them. He calls the country Ethiopia in his own terms covertly but he has to find a word how to address Ethiopians collectively. No Ethiopians for him in Ethiopia. He knows them as Amhara, wolyita, Tigre, Oromo …..which automatically leads him to love or hate one over the other leading to revenge action.
For many there is nothing Ethiopian as a country or people with what he sayes or does. We have never seen the broken country and people healed. It is empowering his supporters and oromo ethnifascists that form his base. Unfortunately in the past over 30 years Ethiopia did not find leaders that identify themselves with the people and the country. Can you imagine those list years and the identity crisis the public bore?
We have no reason to believe he is going to open a war to the benefit of Ethiopian poor or citizens as we have not seen him workout or amend basic issues burning Ethiopians. If he opens a catastrophic war on Assab, it may be just to stay in power by misleading the unsuspecting or to find an adventure for history books for himself or even worse Dubai wanting the war!
Whatever done in that country will only be to change the ethnic power dynamic feed ethnic hegemony as well as to keep this still dangerous young man for forseable future, not for the benefit of Ethiopia or its citizens. No one loving his country and people spreads a rumor like PP to change its historical calendar and above all kind of the country’s holly name!

I am just behaving like a civilized person who hates the neanderthals who worship their ethnicity in Ethiopia and go to the civilized world and behave the same.
They go to USA and name a road by their ethnicity, identify themselves by their ethnicity despite they are naturalized to that country. I wish ICE deports all those ethnic cows.
