Tigrayans are among the pioneers or perhaps the pioneers on the establishment of Ethiopia and I personally hate to see Tigray with out Ethiopia or Ethiopia with out Tigray. However, the reality on the ground based on the erroneous leadership of PM Abiy over the last 4 years has compelled me to accept the reality.
Since the start of the GERD and following the death of PM Meles TPLF & the Tigrayans have been blackmailed and used as scapegoat for every wrong thing or fabricated problem in Ethiopia(ESAT funded by Egypt and Eritrea and led by Neamin Zeleke and Birhanu Nega played the leading role in alienating and campaigning genocide on Tigrayans ) . Tigrayans in the Amhara state ( specially in Gondar and around Bahirdar) were robbed, killed and forced to vacate. Following the coming of PM Abiy , Tigray was sieged from the Amharas state side and the only access were through Afar and air transportation. PM Abiy gave an intentional blind eye to the siege and was producing documentaries after documentaries that were targeting not only TPLF but the whole Tigray people. Every wrong thing under the sun was intentionally blamed on TPLF and by implications on Tigrayans, to brain wash and prepare Ethiopians for genocide against Tigrayans. I remember some three years ago, Abiy visited Wello and he was trying to remind them about what Emperor Yohannes may had done in Boru-Meda. He also gave Tigrayans various derogative names like " የቀን፥ ጅብ" etc. Abiy was also engaged in conspiration and pretentious love affair with Isaias to alienate and provoke TPLF and the Tigrayan people. Then followed the genocidal war and ethinic cleansing and using siege and starvation as a weapon of war by involving third party countries ( Eritrea, United Arab Emirates and Somalia ), regional forces and so called FANO armed robbers and shiftas and the indiscriminate bombardment using aircraft and drones.Abiy also intentionally instigated and fuelled the war between Tigray and Amhara. In addition Tigrayans in the whole Ethiopia have been considered and black mailed as the enemy of Ethiopia and have been killed and arrested and put in concentration camps and their businesses were/ have been intentionally bankrupted and exploited ( closure of businesses and intentionally charging unrealistic taxes even on closed businesses to make sure they are bankrupt etc). The bottom line is PM Abiy has made a strategic mistake in damaging the bond each Tigrayan has with Ethiopia both individually and as a society. Hence, no one should be surprised if Tigrayans overwhelmingly support independence from Ethiopia as per the existing constitution if possible or by any means.

For Tigrayans like me which we still strongly consider ourselves , as Ethiopians, PM Abiy has left us with nothing to argue for Tigray to remain part of Ethiopia based on the existing structure. After looking into various scenarios , the only win-win relationship with the future Oromoized Ethiopia is:



Tigray to be confederated with Oromoized Ethiopia ( Oromoized Ethiopia is an Ethiopia led by Oromos from Addis Ababa). If Ethiopia is dominated(led) by Amhara, it is not practical to assume Tigray to confederate with Ethiopia and Tigray has to be automatically independent .

Under the confederation :

- Tigray will have it's sovereign right and intelligence & security and military to defend itself
- Tigray will have same currency and economically integrated with Oromoized Ethiopia
- Tigray and Oromoized Ethiopia to have a security and military strategic alliance to defend Tigray and Ethiopia from external aggression
- Seamless cooperation ,development and utilization of shared infrastructure, values, interests, social aspects such as , history , religion, culture etc

If the Confederation is not possible Tigray has to establish an independent state and establish an economic integration with post Isaias Eritrea or / and Sudan or/and Ethiopia

First, not Ethiopian hate Tigre, but we(I hate) the TPLF organization. There are ring leaders in this genocidal organization. Hating TPLF does not mean hating Tigre. It is impossible to love TPLF, even if the sky fall unpon us we will never ever. The TPLF took Tigray people as hostage, very sad. Yes, Abiy Ahmed should have freed Tigray people from decades of slavery from TPLF but he failed them; and now, Tigray and Amhara are locked in war because TPLF is hiding out in Tigray.

Second, I don't know how even Tigray seced and become a country. It is triple land locked: 360 degree encirecle by Eritrea, Amhara and Afar. There is no constitution even for this to do so, because TPLF made its own illegal self constitution null and void.

Third, OLF can not Orommumize Ethiopia unless it is writing its own death sentence like TPLF. You should also know that Amhara will have more leverage to have its own indepdent army and command that will make life for TPLF nightmare. It will take away more lands from Tigray it will not just stop at Korem.

My advice is just stop this madness of supporting TPLF. Otherwise, Tigray has been already ruled by TPLF since the last 3 or 2 years, just like a country but it has been painful for the ordinary people. Tigray without Ethiopia is a fish without water. Don't commit political suicde. You will not hurt Amhara or Ethiopia, you will cut and hurt yoursef.

Never think I don't feel the pain of ordinary illiterate Tigres, but TPLF just made it difficult. As much as their hunger breaks my heart, I just don't see any future for them with TPLF. Just to let you know, informed choice is works best in a literate society.
Do not shove and throw them over the cliff. It is my educated guess 97% of Ethiopians are innocent, illiterate and they have the highest chance of making regrettably wrong choices. I never know a good example of any seceded country as good role model. Just simply, something bizarre happened in the era of TPLF and Orommuma does not mean they will be here tomorrow. They are sinking now - their tribal kilil is falling apart.

Tigray is more Oromoized than Southern Ethiopia and Amhara region. Tigray is more at the mercy of Orommuma. Orommuma already claimed Mekele is an Oromo name, Ade(i) garat is Oromo, S(i)hire is Oromo, St. Yared ( Medaby Oromo), king Negash was an Oromo whose mother tongue was Oromo ( he welcome Prophet Mohammed families in Oromiffa). Tigray is more Oromo than any land - Getachew Reda is an Orommuma deputy and Ade' Debritu, too.

TPLF cannot win elections in Tigrey without intimidation of opposition figures, without assaulting opposition figures, without assassination of opposition figures.

TPLF does not represent the people of Tigrey. If TPLF wins overshelming majority in elections conducted on equal playing fields with oppositions, then you can plead with Ethiopia to accept TPLF as representing the desires of the people of Tigrey. Until then, you will have to dabble for ways to extort Ethiopia into accepting the heinous criminal group of TPLF.

I do not hate Tigre, but I do not like Woyane. All the curse flooding in Ethiopia is because of Woyane. Woyane gave birth of OLF. The country is suffering from these two who came in the name of Tigre and Oromo. All the 83 and + tribes are suffering because of these rats carrier of black death.

Abere pls note the following so that we can talk about bringing Amhara & Tigray together!

( 1) Change Tigre by Tigray ! Tigrayans want their land to be identified as Tigray ! Tigre is a historic name but we have changed that as it associated with the past.
( 2) OLF was established prior to the establishment of TPLF . Of course Abadula's Oromo party was established by TPLF.
( 3) Accept the wrong things , genocide, that committed by Amhara special & militia forces in alliance with Isaias & Abiy .

( 4) Axumezana acknowledges TPLF made strategic error by marginalizing the great Amhara people & that should be corrected for Amhara & Tigray to work together

( 5) On the issues of contested land there could be amicable solution between Amhara & Tigray. ( Both Amhara & Tigray have a historical strong bond to solve their problems amicably)

Expect Tigray to ally most probably with Oromia if elites of Amhara failed to understand the concerns of Tigray.

The walls between Amhara and Tigre people are Woyane and OLF. As long both or one of these decayed wall exist, they will be staved of peace. These walls are installed by external adversaries.

Amhara and Tigre Must bulldoze these mercenary walls. Alas, the other wall built by mercenaries (Shabia) too will never stop sneezing when the dust from the demise of the two blows across its nose.
