Re: Zeyla is our port; in return Somaliland is a country (win-win at its best)

Post by Abere » 01 Jan 2024, 13:02

I think whether it is recognized or not recognized, Somaliland is a country by itself without any doubt. UN recognition is not materially significant as UN itself is a voluntary association of states, it is more of an NGO than a mandating body. That is why the superpowers' do careless about its existence and often are the alpha and omega of this NGOs. The question is what should the Indian Ocean coastal country of Somalia do to live in peace with Somaliland? I think Somalia should accept this reality and create an economic bond with it. Going into war is will further affect the wellbeing of this war torn country. As far as Ethiopian access to the sea is concerned there is nothing to be worried.

Abiy not only have military base at Zeyla and develop the port. I think he should offer somaliland a federation to the Ethiopian federation and the ports service of the country will transfer from Djibouti to Somaliland ports

Are you trying to lecture some sort of a logic this Jawisa?

You can try 1000s of times but Jawisa and logic never go hand in hand, just a little tip for your discourse from my side.

Yeah, Zeylac is your port!

It's not by concocting an unlawful MOU with Somaliland that you'll get it. The Somaliland administration signed similar MOUs with the UAE, Egypt, and Russia to have naval bases in Somaliland in the past, do you see any Russian, Emirati, or Egyptian naval bases in there!

Egypt Proposes To Set Up A Military Base In Somaliland

Do you remember what happened to the famous MOU that Kanya used to parrot in the maritime delimitation case at the ICJ?

It's not by signing stuff with some people that things would happen! Where are we? This doesn't even happen in the jungle.

if this was possible as easily scribbled on pieces of paper, Zenawi would have done it long ago. Neither would all those foreign military bases would be squeezing themselves in Djibouti.

And FYI, it's not by Ethiopia recognising the Somaliland administration as a country that this enclave will become a country!

What a bunch or illiterate retards!

The people of Somaliland are smart. They are on the Money. The Weyannies tried to sabotage their dreams of a closer relationship with Ethiopia as we all know why. Just look at their banking sector and the way they conduct business while keeping a low profile.
Believe me they will thrive and build their Singapore. One day Ethiopia and Somaliland will sign a military pact and Ethiopia will protect them forever.

I forgot to add Taiwan, which signed an agreement, which goes further than the simplistic MoU of Ethiopia, with the Somaliland rats. Do you see any Taiwanese military base in this area!

We know that it's the fuc.king UAE that is behind this fantasy. The UAE wants to gain and maintain influence and power in the HoA, and for this to happen, it has to create and fuel animosity between countries and people in this region.

One of the things I appreciated with Farmajo was when he closed their so-called military training base, where they used to claim of training Somali soldiers, and kicked all their fu.cking stuff out of the country within 72 hrs.

Did not I tell you, Somaliland already run away. Well, just accept and let loss of lives be avoided. What you could not eat in war, you can share and get to eat in peace.

This is huge achievement from Abiy and his government. This kind of positive deed needs recognition from all Ethiopians regardless of internal political disagreements.

If you think that a "recognition" from 120 million people existing in extreme poverty dependent on international aid, matters, then, you're a little ignorant fuc.ker who needs to go to school and get some education, despite your advanced age. Stop believing in your fake certificates from Ethiopia.

My sincere response is good luck. But knowing the immature and childish Abby led Pee Pee government are like 12 years old children who believe so much more on show ups/propaganda and much less on materializing it on the ground , my response to the whole situation is we will see. For now, I just need my popcorn.....

Remember, Somaliland is NOT a sovereignty independent state, It is the same as Taiwan or similar to Biafra or little Tigray

With this agreement, Ethiopia will have an option to defend the sovereignty of Somali-land and its people from any foreign aggression. This agreement will kill the old and outdated greater Somalia fiction. This kills the blood suckers in Djibouti who will go back soon to camel and goat herding
Above all this kills Issaias Afeworki's dream to expand and influence Horn African politics. Economically, Eritrean ports may die a fast death like the old ports Adulis and Zula.
The other major victory, Abiy Ahmed scored last week is deepening relationship with the leader of the Sudanese Rapid Forces, the RSF. The RSF is kicking hard against General al Burhan's forces who has sided with Egypt and Eritrea. Here too, Issaias and Egypt will loose some of their teeth and get bloodied.
Abiy needs to cozy up with Arab Emirates because they have not only deep pockets but also diplomatic powers that can make USA, China, France, Britain and Russia bow down. All members of the UN Security Council who will be handy when needed.
This year 2024, Issaias will likely have a massive stroke and a heart attack.
Abiy Ahmed needs to hire the best advisors that Ethiopia can hire and make peace with the Amhara and Tigrayans.

President Isaias, will die one day and no matter how, just like anyone else. But guess what - there are millions of Isaias out there, which includes even me. See, you'll be having a desperate stressful life all along the rest of your miserable life - good for you.
