From the technical point of view, at least, this is not sustainable

Technology means all about efficiency, productivity, resource saving and speed, among others.

In this regard electronically processing of data (information) is central and the way we store and transmit information is a key to achieve the above mentioned goals.

While you may use a maximum of 4 characters to process (store or transmit) the word ቢሾፍቱ, which will be encoded internally to a 64 bit long unicode bit-length, you need a 160 bit long space to encode Bishooftuu, which will be very costly in comparison (more than double at the level of a single word). Electronic data store or medium is not a cheap commodity and it is bought with a dire hard currency. It will going to [deleted] into the national treasure of the nation.

The longer the characters the more error prone the manual processing (interaction) of the data it contains, one more disadvantage.

I am not sure if other people wouldn't write as Biishooftuu, or some other kind of mutation of the same word. I do make a lot of errors while trying to write in latin letters. Well, in my case I do the same with sabean /geez letters too. The source of my error is basically my lack of proficiency in both languages, Amharic because of my second language and as such adaptation deficiency, and Afan Oromo because of my deficiency in lack of formal schooling to learn the language in written form. I am a native speaker of Afan Oromo but never had a chance to learn the language as a formal language at school.

A debt-ridden government that has failed to come up with $33 million dollars to make a payment on its outstanding debt, borrowed additional money to hold an air show designed to inflate the ego of its narcissist head honcho, and all this while inflation runs amok in the country of 120 million.
