My understanding about EPRP is that it was a creation of JEBHA to their own agenda with the implication of Egypt.

Walelegne Mekonen (trained by an Eritrean that has been banned from Ethiopia) highjacked a plane. Eyasu and other survivors of the plane arrived in Khartoum and received by JEBHA. Transferred to Algiers and EPRP was created in collaboration with North American, Europe and Russian based Ethiopian students.
If you want to check the influence of Eritreans on EPRP, then go to the EPRP website and read their party paper of the time DEMOCRACIA. While they call the Afars in Ethiopia oppressed and imprisoned that should fight for self determination, deliberately call the Afars in Eritrea as an ethnic of Eritrea.
I can back my claim by numerous docs the EPRP worked in landlocking Ethiopia.

Fano has been there as the saviour of Ethiopia long before the EPRP was created. There is no point in debating that.
But I understand what the EPRP folks are trying to say in context that they want the recognition of the bravery of the youth sacrificed in the revolution.

But the EPRP leaders has to come forward and take the responsibility of what they did to Ethiopia and the innocent youth that has been sacrificed for the wrong cause.

Eyasu Alemayuh (Hama Tuma) instead asked for apology for what happened during the Derg era. When asked to elaborate, he went on to call names of the perceived enemies.
Regardless, EPRP is dead. Let us focus in helping Fano.

EPRP is Qoshasha. Yes it collaborated with Somalia, Jebha, Shabia ...you name it. This group was lead by Eritreans and Tigryans.
