There is a much more sinister aspect that the author does not recognize: That all the Western political, media, and pundit demonization of Ethiopia was deliberate. It is part and parcel of the evil policies that are meant to keep Africans down and mired in never ending conflicts. The neo-colonialists knew that a speedy defeat of TPLF would catapult Ethiopia. Their design was to keep the thugs alive because that will ensure instability in the country. It would have been much better specially for the Tigrayans had the war ended in 2020. But it would have been terrible for the white snakes. They don't give a damn about Tigrayans. A million died for nothing other than ensure continued misery to everyone in the country and region. With docile, incompetent and ignorant leaders like Abiy, the Western colonialists are able to keep Africa mired in wars and misery. Ethiopia today finds itself on the edge of catastrophic denouement because they made sure that Abiy would not finish the war as it ought to have been finished. The white snakes did not get it wrong. They made sure it went wrong.

I think, besides the headline, you & the author are in perfect agreement because he then adds: "Who're they? How could they GET AWAY WITH IT?"

This implies, he is aware of their conscious guilt.

I like the fact too, he's the only westerner who has taken on this issue so thoroughly.

When it comes to Eritrea, of course, they all lose all that's called context, nuance etc...
