I believe the beheresoboch crap was implemented for two purposes, to incite non amhara Ethiopians against amhara and of course as a bailout plan for the leeches. If they were unable to control Ethiopia with the means of divide and rule, they would be content to live within Ethiopia however, if they failed to be the kingmakers of Ethiopia in-spite of the Behere beherosboch, they would declare independence and leave the federation.
