Abiy is trying to play by the same rules he played after signing the temporary unilateral humanitarian cease fire some 11 months ago. This time the USA and EU are serious and:
They could declare genocide has been committed in Tigray specially using food as a weapon of mass killing and that could trigger various legal and economic actions and sanctions . Further more they could ground Ethiopian Airlines for some weeks & freeze it's accounts and worsen the financial crises. Abiy has to make strategic decision either to finish the war , if he can, through war or in peaceful manner. My advise is the peaceful approach was the best option two years ago and it is the same as of today even after the much blood shed and crime committed .
