Let's not go to that dismal science called economics! Yes, under a normally function market economy the hidden hand of supply and demand regulates the price of goods and services. No, the Ethiopian economy is far from a normally functioning market economy. For instance, there is no evidence that there is a shortage of ጎመን፣ ሽንኩርት፣ ቃሪያ፣ ጨው፣ በርብሬ for that matter any grain supply. The Ethiopian farmers are growing all kinds of stuff every where. It is the organized merchant class and የቢሮና የፓርቲ ንጹስ ከበርቴ መደብ that distort and manipulate the economy based on ሌብነት፣ ሙስና፣ ጉቦና artificial pricing hiking !!! The solution is well calculated price control!

You can not manage inflation and economical crises by force. 20 million people are now in need of humanitarian assistance under this tribalist failed government. The olf government must first eliminate the corruption within the government itself at least before they go to the public in order for the public to take them serious and consider them as a government. Secondly, the so called government must first get out of the ecomnocial crises it put the people into. Otherwise, they close a shop but the desperate people will open another one next door!

Actually not only they will keep getting into illegal activities to survive, at the worwst case, they will start to kill the officials themselves eventually if the so called government cant fix the problem it created first before pointing fingers at the very people it is supposed to work for. The people will anything to survive as long as the government is not stable and can not provide jobs and lower the inflation.

You are making the right argument with a wrong reason. Here one reality. It is called wealth transfer from cities to country side. This is almost the official policy of Shimels Abdisa. This is his way of empowering and enriching Oromo farmer who are becoming Kulaks or rural bourgeois class. How does this happen? consider the price of cattle, sheep and goats . The price of these animals is 100s of times the cost of raising them . በግዜር ዝናብና ሳር የሰባው ሰንጋ ሁሉ በመቶ ሺዎች ብር ነው የሚገዛው ከገበሬው ላይ ማለት ነው። ስለዚህ የሰንጋ እጥረት በኢትዮፕያ የለም። በኢትዮጵያ 80 ሚሊዮን የቀንድ ከብቶች አሉ ። አዲሱ የኦሮሙማ ፕላን ሃብት ከከተማ ነዋሪ ወደ ባላገር ገብሬ ለማዞር ነው ይህ ሁሉ የምግብ መወደድ የመጣው ። The price of food animals and grain has nothing to do with the cost of producing these goods. ስለዚህ መንግስት ነው ቀውሱን ያመጣው ስትል ምክኛቱ ይህ ነው ። ምክኛቱ የጎሳና ክልል ፖለቲካ ነው። በመሰረቱ የብልጽኛ ፓርቲ ሶሺያል መሰረት ባላገርና ገበሬ እንጂ ከተሜ አይደለም ።
