Alliances between parties who keep their word is useful, but if one or the other side turns out to be untrustworthy, then a better option is for them to part ways and deal with matters each on its own.
Abiy has mismanaged the woyane issue, behaving in a capricious and erratic manner. However, if he wants to make peace with woyane, or feels he needs to bribe Ethiopias with development to achieve this, or disarm Fano, or turn his back on Eritrea, or kiss Uncle Sam's feet, it is all his prerogative. It'd be a monumental failure, but still his prerogative as far as Eritrea is concerned. Isaias might feel disappointed, as he did after his friendship with Meles ended unceremoniously, but Eritreans were never part of the Isaias-Meles or Isaias-Abiy friendships and never invested in any friendship with Meles or Abiy.

As they say the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Abiy a product of tribal politcs, he doesn't have a qualum to bargain with a group that slaughtered more than 6000 Ethiopian defense forces in their sleep. So keeping your hand dry from this sale out is a principle stand we Ethiopians appreciate. And correctly, we somehow need to clear our own mess. Keep your beautiful country out of tribal malady and you will be fine. We.Ethiopian are indebted for standing with us at critical time. All the best.

The kindest thing one could say about Tigray is that it is the most uninteresting place for Eritreans.
The aloof rejection Eritreans display towards gestures of fake friendship and fake kinship coming out of Tigray must be ego shattering. It will always remain difficult for Tigray to get past this massive Eritrean psychological barrier.
I don't know how you can reach us, get to us, I really don't know. The rejection is too massive
