Urban Farming As Excellent Ecological Culture!
I have always believed that the 4th cardinal Ethiopian Agenda to be the development of a Creative, Ecological & Spiritual Culture. Urban Farming (Gardening) is now a major global trend in the sustainable environmentalism movement. As part of the Greening Ethiopia movement (የአረንጓዴ አሻራ), this kind of urban productivity movement is a major cultural shift. Urban farming is not only about food security or food productivity. It is about the greening of cities, caring for the soil, healthy ecocycle, education of children in the ethics of work, ethnics of productiveness, a clean urban life, creative use of resources and time. This are the types of human activities that seem simple and of less value but that are drivers of cultural paradigm shifts and sociological transformation. Every Ethiopian family has the ability to transform the Ethiopia earth into a Green Beauty. አትክልት ምግብ ብቻ አይደለም! የጓሮ አትክልት እያንዳንዱ ኢትዮጵያዊ ህጻን የስራ፣ የፈጠራና የትጋት ስነምግባር ማስተማሪያ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ነው !! እጅግ ተደስቻለሁ!!! ለ30 አመት ስለ ኢኮሎጂካል ካልቸር ስለው የነበረ ነው !!! አዲስ አበባ ብቻ አይደለም! የኢትዮጵያ ቤተ ሰቦች በሚኖሩበት መንደሮች ሁሉ የአትክልት መደቦችን ማየት የመሰለ ዉበት የለም !!
