As sad and tragic as this is, it's not surprising. Neo colonialism is real.
Ethiopia itself is a creation of the European imperialist powers. Without the European firearms and military advisers, menelik wouldn't have been able to conquer his neighbors. And you wonder why many Oromo call themselves Oromo first? Ha.

In my humble opinion, I believe if Ethiopia is going to remain "united", although that is debatable nowadays, our Ethiopian brothers and sisters need to stop bragging about their past "accomplishments", if any, and rather look forward to the future. The zeraf! zeraf! mentality of some Ethiopians is unlikely to get them where they hope to be.
What they need to do is try to be humble, for a change, and live in mutual harmony with their neighbors instead of the usual begging of the Ferengis whenever the latter threatens them with some kind of economic sanctions. After all, the Ferengis are out for their own interest and not that of Ethiopia or any Third World people. The sooner our Ethiopian neighbors come into grips with such a reality, the better it is, not only to their own sanity but the sanity of the entire Horn people. Unsubstantiated stories that have been told over and over are no better than the famous Aesop's fables, for they are just that - fables.

Good move Ethiopia, but he should've been booted out in my opinion.

Ethiopian Media Authority issued a Letter of Warning to Mr. Tom Gardner, who is a correspondent of The Economist.

Had fruitful discussion with U.S. SE. to HoA, David Satterfield. Briefed him concerns on HR6600 & S.3199 & expressed confidence that the U.S. would discard the draft bills since they put the lives of ordinary 🇪🇹'ns in danger rather than promoting peace & democracy in the country.

While on the subject of Uncle Sam- the mum witness of the Algiers agreement, a cold blooded mass murderer and mentor to all the witches like Susan Rice, has just left our planet!

This post is interesting for a matter of just a coincidence, if not for anything else.

I was having a walk around today and thought about the world and some of the current issues. For whatever reason the idea of "institutionalized lie manufacturing industry" of the emprialist was what sprung to my mind, for what ever reason.

I tried to ask myself about why this has to be the case?

Dignified societies don't tolerate lies, which is supposed to weaken the cohesion of the society itself, if nothing else. In the society that I grew up among if someone is found out to have lied deliberately then that someone is considered an outcast and alienated from the society, at the minimum. So, people try to be very careful of what they are telling others.

In the imperialists' world lying is not only widespread but even institutionalized, there are organisation that are deliberatly spreading lies and then there are those who are going to pick up the same lies and do other kinds of businesses with them.

That was what came to my mind today on my walk. The reason I can only guess is that the important thing (the main goal) is simply about winning at the end, be it material or otherwise. This is the state of the world we all live in, unfortunately.
