That is arrogance. I do not — in fact you live in ER should have known — support any ethnic party. Given Ethiopian politics of the last three decades, the current Ethiopian government I believe is more nationalistic than previous ones— my reason for supporting it.
If I have given an omnipotent power like God, I will close every ethnic politics shops the very first day, and empower those parties which have detested it.
I am realistic. God is not going to give me that power. Given a choice between TPLF and OLF on one side and PP on the other, I choose the later without giving it a second thought anytime.

TPLF has become a cult long time ago. The majority of Tigreans are under thirty years old. They grew up programmed about the “terarawen yanketkete tweled” and the bad boys and girls : the Amharas.
Without being challenged with other alternative theories — do not forget education is a local issue , except university — they raised children who worship the organization as a cult.
Even in the most advanced society cult is a problem, but usually has a religious bent.
Why Tigreans not willing to oppose TPLF ? That is the problem of the we versus them politics.
At the same time it is that very politics that hinders TPLF from maturing politically.
When TPLF decided the Amharas to be the enemy, it was finished. There was nowhere to go. No pivoting.
If TPLF has never been matured politically in time how come one expects the children it raised to be different.

I do believe ethnic politicians should start to pivot to national politics. The TPLF big mistake has been believing Ethiopians always see politics from the prism of their ethnicity.
In fact, as a minority Tigreans more than the Amharas and Oromos should have worked harder to create a harmonious, all inclusive national politics. TPLF did the opposite believing its being king maker is permanent.
To me ethnics demands are transnational. They have a lifetime. Until the Almighty shows up the Amharas would not be an enemy. Even recently the TPLF politicians accuse the Amhara elites — you yourself love that undefined, vague term— What does it mean ? Does it mean only the educated Amharas who aspire for a national, which you call unitary, politics.
Maybe that had been the assumption. But it is wrong. The majority of Amharas now volunteering to have a showdown with TPLF are not the Amhara “ elites.” Rather it is the uneducated farmers.

I believe you are making the mistake Getachew Reda is making. He blames Amara elite of Ethiopia and you blame Tigre elite of (Eritrea and) Ethiopia. I think blaming the "cream" of society is dangerous because it leaves no room for dialogue and understanding. The common Amara and Tigre doesn't come to the table for talks aiming at cooperation. It's the elite that does that.

Despite my not being searching ER nonstop, however, I have a pretty picture of what has been happening. Understand this : with a pace you write and download videos on ER, it isn’t hard to figure you out.
