Abbiy's mounting problems, damn if you do, damn if you don't

Post by Aurorae » 31 Aug 2020, 00:43

The US taking the Egyptian side over the water disagreements, brings a lot of problems for Abbiy and threatens Ethiopia's existence as one nation. If Ethiopia disintegrates, Egyptian water problems will disappear over night. The other problem that Abbiy faces, is what to do about the Weyanes rebellion. If the Weyanes conduct election, TPLF will not recognize Abbiy as the leader since it has claimed that Abby lacks a mandate to rule the country beyond September, 2020. Hence, the country will run into all kind of problems. Abbiy wants to get rid off the ethnic federalism set up. Tigrayans and most Oromos would not have it otherwise. If Abbiy attacks TPLF, Tigray would be breeding independent movements again. Meaning, assisted by TPLF, for instance, OLF will get a better opportunity to dismantle the country. Egypt would love that, Egypt would never spare a penny for that to happen. Egypt's water life hangs on it. If Abby allows TPLF to get away with it, TPLF would be encouraged to disrupt Abbiy's government even more. Where does Isayas fall. Isayas loves to cream TPLF all together from the face of Tigray. If Abbiy invites Isayas to get rid off TPLF from the face of Tigray, Isayas will oblige. The horn will be on fire. If it was up to me, Isayas should not lift a finger in Ethiopian matters. Occupied Eritrean territories are illegally occupied by the Weyanes. Sooner or later, the Weyanes know that they will have to vacate those lands. However, Isayas should give all kind of none combat support to Abbiy's government. For Abbiy will need it. International support for Ethiopia over the water wars with Egypt is waning. Ethiopia is not as important to the West as it used to be. Egypt has the upper hand on that one.

Could you also say what the intention of your "analysis" is?

I would like to ignore getting into dipicting the fallacy of your self-defeating claims presented as an anlysis until you reply.

Defend the lie,

You idiot, instead of asking my own intentions, why don't you provide critique if you don't agree on what I wrote  You try too hard to sound smart, but you are just another idiot.

Stupid analogy.
Ok let's agree that the USA might side with Egypt more than Ethiopia in some scenarios, but to bring tplf in the mix as scare tactic aka woyane desperation is stupid.
Actually the USA will try to support what ever PMAA demands when it comes to woyane to make up for USA siding with Egypt in the grand scheme of things as a compensation of allying with Egypt.
Woyane is dead. It can't creat any havoc to Ethiopia.
Don't force PMAA to get nasty, by stopping the funds, cut electricity, communications, roads and flights etc.
PMAA doesn't even need to waste the cost of a single bullet let alone a none agame Ethiopian drop of blood.
At the end of the day woyane only has two Choices before the end of 2020.
1. Be ethiopians and live as minority as they are cut to their sizes speaking Amharic or Oromo.
2. Declare independence and get destroyed by Eritrea. Eritrea's patience from evicting woyane from our territory is only the international law of crossing a sovereign ethiopian territory.
Once woyane declares its independence, the next day its existence will cease.
So don't equate a least important kilil of Ethiopia aka tigray's dilemma with international affairs.

Cigar,

What seems to look stupid to you most likely is smart.
You wrote,

   Do you understand the world order. The West loved Ethiopia, when Ethiopia was a harmless beggar State. That is called a useful idiot. But, Ethiopia has morphed. Ethiopia wants to sell its water at market prices. Now, the Arabs, energy producing countries take the priority over the primitive black needs of Africa, Do you even understand the message that was given to Ethiopia. Sure, Ethiopias' need still take the priority over countries like Eritrea. But, we are talking about the country of Anwar Sadat. The Arab power house. Stop measuring yourself against the lowly weyanes. They could have been taken care of twenty years ago with smart diplomatic moves. That is beside the point. This is much bigger than that, Ethiopia to the West is only important strictly in black African affairs, Ethiopia is expendable if it dares to challenge the Arab countries, The message is, know your place,

You idiot stop repeating your self.
I agreed that the USA will side with Egypt over Ethiopia if push comes to shove.
What I said is why the fu*ck are you bringing the least important kilil of Ethiopia aka tigray to equate it with the USA, Ethiopia and Egypt foreign affairs.
Tigray is like a fly in the eyes of Ethiopia and it will apologize for its crimes and align with Ethio federal govt programs or else.
Stop you scare tactic as if tigray can even be a hickup to Ethiopia.
You filthy tegarus are fooling yourselves trying to be tough at the expences of the peace loving PMAA.
You are taking his patience as weakness. Very bad idea.
Again you have the previous two choices and nothing else.
For your future snotty little agames you better take the first one. Because the second choice is what we the Eritreans want you to choose.
Make our day.
So quit repeating yourself.

Calm down Cigar, I don't mean the horse
Do you really understand what I wrote ? The minute you hear the word Tigray, it is twilight zone for you.  Like it or not, TPLF is an important powerful player in Ethiopian politics. I don't know what you are reading, I did not equate TPLF with Egypt or USA   However, in the eyes of Egypt even USA, TPLF can be used to play an important role. TPLF will cease to recognize Abbiy as a the prime minister after Sept. 2020. That could mean civil war. Not good for Abbiy. His Oromo base is compromised. His decision making ability is compromised. The biggest divide in Ethiopian politics is whether to keep ethnic federalism whiich is favored by the Oromos. In general, the amharas like to discard the Ethnic federalism concept all together. That is a big divide. Many Oromos are now doubting if Abbiy is really Oromo. Is he a wannabe dictator. All these problems present an opportunity for Egypt to get the upper hand. Now, what is Abbiy's next move in regard to the DAM. Is he going to fill it up. I like to see that. Is he going to play it safe and agree to the Egyptian terms ?  These are critical questions. Ethio future under Abby is uncertain. Weyane will play their game. If its gets too hot, Abbiy may betray your trust. He is under tremendous heat. Abbiy's ego is much bigget than his tiny body. He wants to rule not only Ethiopia but Eritrean seas too. Unless you are really stupid, you should be able to see that. But, he will fail. He has too much on his hands than he can handle.
