1) - One basic rule in the development & power-balance of human societies has been a curious fact where sedentary & cabbage-eating tribes whose diet contains lots of protein-poor vegetables have never ever beaten cattle-herding nomadic or semi-nomadic communities whose diet is rich in protein. 2) - Generally, cattle/camels-herding nomadic or semi-nomadic communities tended to be more martial or good at waging wars while cabbage-growing & eating sedentary farming tribes tend to be "sitting ducks" that are made into slaves.

3) - Also, nomadic or semi-nomadic cattle-herding societies have been the best transmitters of civilisations that they either made or got from others through warfare, commerce or industry.

4) - For example, nomadic Arabs defeated just about all ancient - and sedentary/farming - communities of the Middle East including: the might Persian Empire, the mighty Byzantine/Christian Empire & the mighty Mogul [Indian] empires to become the inheritors & transmitters of many civilisations that they got along the way. They or their traders took these civilisations to far away lands such as Europe, North Africa & the rest of the World.

5) - After the nomadic Arabs came the nomadic & camel-herding Turkish tribes of Central Asia who ended-up inheriting the Arab Empire & conquered the very centre of Christendom - the city of Constantinople aka Istanbul in what is today Turkey [It was a Christian Greek city before that]. The nomadic Turks built the mighty Ottoman empire that almost conquered the whole of Europe.

6) - The mighty Roman empire was defeated by cattle-herding nomads from what is today Germany. Eventually, the Germanic tribes became even better at Roman ways of doing things, industry, crafts, arts etc, than the Romans.

7) - The mighty Russian empire was created by reindeer herding nomads from Scandinavia who founded the empire of Rus - the forerunner of Russia.

Interesting, just as I said above, for you it is about violence, and tribes. Once upon a time, humans were hunters and gatherers, they would move from place to place for survival until conditions arise to settle. You conveniently said, the empires who were nomads, ALL were nomads, but those nomads, as nomad way of life did not create empire after 1000s years! Except until this day, the Bedouins, the Tuaregs, etc. The nomadic way of life right now is the poorest and easily attacked, because they don't make strong communities as the move from place to place for survival. The only nomads who succeeded in conquering vast amount of lands were the Mongols and I don't think they created the type of empire we are talking about like Roman or others that improved way of life through development, creating things, etc.

Here you are refurbishing the rusty bows and spears of the long-gone Mongols, and the Scandinavian warriors. What a knob-head! Where were you when Lawrence of Arabia dismantled the nomadic Arab tribes and handed over Palestine to the Jews? Where were you when Europeans settlers eradicated the native horse riders in America? The Mursi in Omo Valley are vanishing; the Maasai in Kenya are disappearing; mobile goat herders and pastoralists are dwindling while hit by climate change and are starting to sedentarise. Your One Thousand and One Nights story is rubbish to say the least.

Whatever you do, try not to pay attention to that ፉጋ who is full of lies & happens to be 'a make it up as you go along' con artist.

1) - One basic rule in the development & power-balance of human societies has been a curious fact where sedentary & cabbage-eating tribes whose diet contains lots of protein-poor vegetables have never ever beaten cattle-herding nomadic or semi-nomadic communities whose diet is rich in protein. Nor are the cabbage-eating 'fugas/ፉጋ' ever been efficient transmitters of civilisations. NO!

2) - Generally, cattle/camels-herding nomadic or semi-nomadic communities tended to be more martial or good at waging wars while cabbage-growing & eating sedentary farming tribes tend to be "sitting ducks" that are made into slaves.

3) - Also, nomadic or semi-nomadic cattle-herding societies have been the best transmitters of civilisations that they either made or got from others through warfare, commerce or industry.

4) - For example, nomadic Arabs defeated just about all ancient - and sedentary/farming - communities of the Middle East including: the might Persian Empire, the mighty Byzantine/Christian Empire & the mighty Mogul [Indian] empires to become the inheritors & transmitters of many civilisations that they got along the way. They or their traders took these civilisations to far away lands such as Europe, North Africa & the rest of the World.

5) - After the nomadic Arabs came the nomadic & camel-herding Turkish tribes of Central Asia who ended-up inheriting the Arab Empire & conquered the very centre of Christendom - the city of Constantinople aka Istanbul in what is today Turkey [It was a Christian Greek city before that]. The nomadic Turks built the mighty Ottoman empire that almost conquered the whole of Europe.

6) - The mighty Roman empire was defeated by cattle-herding nomads from what is today Germany. Eventually, the Germanic tribes became even better at Roman ways of doing things, industry, crafts, arts etc, than the Romans.

7) - The mighty Russian empire was created by reindeer herding nomads from Scandinavia who founded the empire of Rus - the forerunner of Russia.

- The mighty Chinese & Indian empires were ravaged by a small band of horse & camels herding nomads known as the Mongols.

9) - Of course, the 'Abyssinian empire of permanent miseries' was ravaged time & again by various nomadic & cattle+camels-herding tribes such as the Beja [Tigre] & later by the cattle-herding Oromos, Somalis [eg. the wars of Ahmad Gragn], etc.

10) - In central Africa the cattle-herding Tutsis have always beaten & enslaved the cabbage-eating Hutus, etc.

11) - Hence, just because some tribes are good at making pots or blacksmith-ing does NOT mean that they will emerge as successful societies unless they are overtaken by more martial tribes or they themselves become more martial.

12) - That is: even if some cabbage-eating tribes such as Gurages or other gudeela tribes succeeded in building a reasonably well-off society [that is a big IF!]; most WILL eventually submit to others who tend to come from societies who had their historic origins in cattle-herding communities. In a sense, the most successful &/or best empire-building societies tended to come from communities that started as nomadic or semi-nomadic cattle-herders. That is a PROVEN FACT as my cursory look over world history shows. OK?

Remember: I am just giving you a historical overview in the development of human societies BUT not necessarily a prediction of future trends in societal development. But, wars, more than other activities, WILL determine the fate of communities in the Horn of Africa, Africa, the Middle East, etc.
