92% of Addis Ababa Households are Food Insecure; አዲስ አበባ--> የአፍሪካ ቁጥር 1 የምግብ ዕጥረት የእርሃብተኛ ኗሪዎች መዲና
Just as the value of the Ethiopian birr has declined, the food security situation in Addis Ababa has also deteriorated since OLF-PP came to power. A citywide study conducted in 2012 found that 75% of households in Addis Ababa were food insecure, while 23% experienced hunger—the most severe end of the food insecurity spectrum (የ"ጉርሻ መግዛት" ደረጃ). Today, the level of hunger in Addis Ababa has reached alarming proportions. Indeed, Addis Ababa has become a city of hunger, where PP cadres live in privilege while much of the rest of the population struggles with hardship, amid widespread concerns about crime and corruption.
