* Rejection of Diversity: It suppressed autonomous self-governance and traditional cultures, viewing peripheral regions merely as administrative extensions of the imperial core.
* Ethnic Federalism: Ethiopia’s 1995 constitution established an ethnic-federal system. Attempting to reverse this to a unitary or heavily centralized system risks widespread civil war and territorial dissolution.
