Ethiopian Orothodox is probably the richest non government institution in Ethiopia.
It was a feudal structure that owned 1/3 of feudal lands until it lost some during derg.
It is a tool of exploitation aligning itself with gov all the time. It holds funds in land, gold, treasure and cash.
It was a thief because it stole peoples's land and receives tith or 1/10 based on old testament. In new testament tith is not a must. The poor has to pay tith in Ethiopia. This is not limitted to EOC. Evangelical church pastors alos exploit the poor by way of false prosperity and tith. Real servant serves by working for self, like saint paul. Saint paul used to work on tents. Sometimes he received help from fellow christians. So, thievery in ethiopia as instituion started with Amhara kings and EOC. No body should be blind. EOC has to preach the word in ther right way and stop being racist and political tool. Most higher postitions in Ethiopian EOC are filled by northerners as if they are the only elects of God in Ethiopia. That country has a lot of mess that needs to be sorted out to make is a fair nation.
