Yes this is more than ridiculous. It's has caused an outcry all over the social media, loudly expressed opposition touting Abiy Ahmed, "Better take my car".
He is doing the opposite of any reasonable leader would have done: increased taxes on incomes and sales at this time of high inflation policies due to economic structural adjustments he has undertaken to obtain IMF loans. He was supposed to increase incomes adjusted for inflation. He has done just the opposite increased taxes on incomes, sales import and exports.
