By offering a naval base and a gateway to the sea, we provided a golden key to regional dominance. Ethiopia, in particular, would be extremely reluctant to pursue any policy perceived as undermining Somalia's territorial integrity. The African Union is headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia maintains troops in Somalia, and Somalia remains strategically important to Ethiopian security interests. Although Addis Ababa briefly flirted with the Memorandum of Understanding with Somaliland, external actors quickly exerted pressure. Turkey and China reportedly made it clear that proceeding further could have serious consequences. Egypt would likely deepen its engagement with Somalia, Ethiopia could face diplomatic isolation within the African Union, and Turkey might reconsider its military support, including the provision of drones and other defence equipment.

In many respects, Somalia outmanoeuvred both Ethiopia and Somaliland diplomatically. As for Israel, it is difficult to see what meaningful leverage or assistance it could offer Somaliland under the current circumstances. the E visa is still in place Khatumo state is still strong , possible conflict between the gadabuuris and isaaq might re accure , there were some conflicts in sheikh as well.

Neither Somaliland nor Israel cares diplomatic bulshiiit. We choose israel to solve of all our problems at once.

1. Water development: from now on we will have the technical capabilities to drill Kms deep and turn our semi arid land to a sustainable ecosystem. Large scale enough to boost our population and farmlands.

2. Defence technology : without buying useless tanks or fighter jets . We will focus on Drones that can reach any where we want. And Israel is happy to work with us in this field. Low cost and very effective.

3. Aviation: We offer Israeli business community to establish an exclusive transit hub for us directly from berbera Airport to Israel. 90% of our diaspora are more than happy to take this new route. A big lose for Ethiopia again. Because many use Addis and jijiga now.

4. We can use Israel to Access American core institutions. Including their Congress.

I can go on and on how we can use Israel as a leverage to reach beyond you can imagine now. No body sees us as a joke any more. We can be direct threat to any one who fk with us including your tiny Djibouty Oven.
