Oromo Migrations: In the 16th century, massive population movements and military expansions by the Oromo pushed into historic Gafat territories, causing further displacement and forcing many remaining Gafat to either integrate with Oromo society or flee to Amhara-dominated areas to escape violence

Abyssinia southwest expansion to the land of the Gafats and by extension to Damot introduced religious division of Gafat. Those who converted to Christianity were consideted friends of Amara. Those who were Muslims and traditional faith believers were persecuted as Amara haters, thus anti-christs. A divided and weakened Gafat could not resist the Oromo assault. Some fled to join the other Gafat community on the north of the Blue Nile together with some Amaras. Those who survived the Oromo assault were assimilated by it.

The earlier Amara southward expansion to now central Ethiopia to such regions such as Debrebirhan, Debresina, etc displacced Gafats to the west. Some village names bearing Gafat language were discovered in this central Ethiopia region of Shewa. More investigation need innthis area.

I guess you live in one western country and if so you would not live a month with no work and no money. If you don’t understand the value of money, no wonder you are ቆሞ ቀር ቆምጬ ዘ-ቆማጣ! Yes money gets in everything evil and good.
