Atlantis city was a fiction or an invention of Plato, so was Wurage ethnicity a pure fiction of Emperor H/Selassie: Both Considered Historically unreal.
Plato’s Atlantis is regarded as a fictional city invented to indirectly criticize the moral decline of Greek society. In Timaeus and Critias, Plato portrayed Atlantis as a society corrupted by greed, lies, deceit, dishonesty, and the abuse of power. Through the downfall of Atlantis, Plato warned Greece that any society which abandons truth, justice, and virtue for corruption and selfishness will eventually destroy itself. In reality, he used a completely fictional city that never existed, although people later came to believe it was real.
Just like the purely fictional city of Atlantis described by Plato, there is no single tribe that can truly be called Wurage, nor does any one of these groups individually constitute such a tribe. However, a collection of different tribes—despite lacking a common language or culture—were categorically designated as Wurage, mainly by Emperor Haile Selassie. These different tribes never shared a common consciousness of belonging to one tribe or descending from the same cultural and linguistic origin. The emperor attempted to create an artificial solidarity among multiple demographically small and linguistically distinct groups.
