Right nothing hidden agenda, Axumezana's position has been very clear for every one!! Axumezana's vision is establishing Axum centered Confederated/ federated Ethiopia and Axum centered reformed/ transformed Orthodox Church that will prepare the world for the coming of Jesus Christ.

You are free to declare independence. That is something you can control.
But you have no right to decide to confederate with Ethiopia as that is for Ethiopia’s to decide.

Beshasha has more relevance and economic gravity/vitality than the dry dusty town of Axum.

Axum, under normal circumstance stance has very limited carrying capacity than most rural towns of Ethiopia. If it can accommodate even the monastery residents satisfactory, that just is enough.

Axumezana, you got big analytical problem. Something is truly not working in your brain system - you cannot imagine Axum to be metropolis inhabiting 4-5 million people more than the current size of the entire population of Tigray province. The whole Tigray even failed to meet the needs of its 3 million people and are living everywhere outside of Tigray.
