LJDemissie, Come here

Post by ittuabafarda » 16 Apr 2026, 12:16

LJDemissie, let’s have our paw waw here. This form is open to differing opinions. There is unfair and too much censorship on Zehabesha. They don’t like some of my comments about the Eritrean regime.

This was my response to your article days ago but it was censored by Zehabesha. You see, we complain about censorship but some of us are doing the censorship ourselves on others. Here it is again for you.

Dear LJDemissie.

Thank you for your response that I found courteous and professional. This is not the first time I posed a question after reading your article about the countryman. I had posted a question a while back but for some reasons it was not let ride for you to see it.

I did my own investigation after reading your article for the first time. I googled his name and found out very impressive resume about his skills. What strikes me most is that he is a managing partner at one of the world's largest accounting/professional services firms, Ernest Young. I'm familiar with Ernest Young for a few years going back to the late 1970's and middle 80's. I did not work for them but my employer company used them as auditors. I dealt with them as a plant manager during our annual physical inventory count. In those we did not have computerized perpetual inventory system. Every thing was mainly manual. So at the end of the year we stop manufacturing for a week before Xmas and we counted and tagged everything. Then we call them to come in audit our physical count. We all pray they would not find any discrepancy and if they found one error they would have us recount the whole row. Their partners were professionals and knew their trade very well. They were tough cookies.

By middle 1980's our company switched to Deloitte/Touché and those brought an IBM mainframe 36 system that came with an MRP system that got us into a perpetual inventory system. Our nightmarish annual physical inventory count which was hated by every factory employee was gone. That was even though the new software system was new on a beta site. We had to take out a lot of bugs that came with it. Those Deloitte partners were very smart and qualified as well. One of them is still in touch with me who ended up being a president of an equipment/leisure mfg corporation. He is in retirement now just like me.

So my question has been how does Ernest Young still have him as one of its partners? One must perform to their higher standard to keep his/her job. I'm not saying you are wholly wrong but there are many other noted global organizations gushing with positive references for him. Again, I'm not saying you are wrong but I was just wondering.

Blessings to you and your family.
