For the untrained eye, this event may look a small potato. Liberia has fewer population than the city of Addis Ababa but rich in Iron Oar, Rubber, and Timber.

Ethiopia is in the process of building a Steel Manufacturing Plant/s. We can secure Iron Oar in two ways - from our own iron oar mining and/or buying the Iron oar from others. In this case Liberia is the best partner. Liberia also has 17% of the global maritime registry. And, there might be some resources that Liberia needs from Ethiopia. Some times it is cheaper to buy the oar from others than to dig out of our own earth.

So, it is amazing to see Ethiopian diplomacy expanding, being diverse and strategic.

Africa has all of the natural resources and the market Ethiopia needs. Asian and European countries - small and big- have the technologies and skills we needs. A solid strategic autonomy, diversification, multilateralism and multipolarity is definitely the smartest foreign policy for Ethiopia.

Ethiopia should simply focus on her National Agenda and National Interest pursuing normal, cooperative, friendly, close and/or strategic relations with all and every will country on planet earth. We should have no enemies, only national interests. Of course, those who wish us ill-will being the only exceptions.
