Poor Ethiopi: It is now paralyzed by lack of fuel and incredicble corruption

የማያልፍላት ኣገር።

As if the spreading deadly civil wars and economic collapse are not enough, as if the back-breaking debt crisis that has resulted in a worthless currency was not punishment enough, as if the stupdity of its PP leaders in multiplying enemies was not a curse enough, now, a conflict in the gulf, which when it started the PP idiots claimed was a good opportunity, is devastating what is left of the Ethiopian economy. Transportation, specially in a large country like Ethiopia, is as vital as the flow of blood in your body. But the fuel shortages have all but halted much of the transport industry. An army of corrupt PP officials have paralized the system by devious methods of corrupt mismanagement. Petrol has now become precious gold. Those involved in its sale are reaping millions by excacerbating the shortages and driving prices to unbearable levels. As a result, prices of all commodities are rising at an alarming rate. How long are the Ethiopian people willing to let Abiy and his PP morons continue to destroy their lives!

We didn't deny that we are poor, we work hard to overcome poverty, as much as we can. But it is more than just hilarious to be called poor by someone from Eritrea, the mother of all poverty in the earth.

Does even Eritrea need fuel, if yes for what? As far as we know there is no movement in Eritrea to need a fuel. Can you say about how many cars are there in the whole of Eritrea, if the people of Eritrea indeed moves?

When are you going to wake up finally and call a spade a spade as a person?

The enlightened sectors are already calling out "NO MORE!".

DTT,

Your problem is not poverty: we are all poor. Your problem is poverty of leadership. Most of Ethiopia's problems these days are self-inflicted. The civil war with the Amharas, for example, was a choice made by Abiy. His war in the Sudan was a diplomatic dissater that is going to destroy Ethiopia if Egypt and Eritrea join the fight. His blubbering about Assab was a choice that idiot made which turned an ally into a permanent enemy. His MoU with a break-away Somaliland was another strategic blunder. His defaulting on $33 million loan payment and then getting forced to accept IMF conditions to float the birr and turn it into toilet paper was a policy disaster. His inability to recognize that the gulf war was not an opportunity but a disaster shows his lack of understanding of basic realities. Had he spent his resources on basic necessities instead of idiotic parks and resorts, Ethiopia would have had a reserve fuel that would have mitigated the disaster it is facing now. It is about time you recognized tat Abiy is cluless. He is certainly taking the country down the drain.

The two facebook blogs give a very good picture of the collapsing country!

You have just li*cked it back, after spitting in front of the public: if the problem is not poverty, then why did you spit "poor Ethiopia", you must be a certain dull!
If any of the points you listed hold water, then I would have been the first to speak up, simply because I care about my people, no need to wait for a certain dull from Eritrea to lecture me about speaking out!

Go and work on your dullness first, if you care about yourself!

Poot DTT,

I didn't know you were this challenged. The word poor, as I am using it in 'poor DTT', doesn't mean you are a beggar. Google AI, for exampls says, "poor" extends far beyond financial lack, frequently describing low quality, insufficiency, or pitiable states. It means unfortunate, unlucky, pitiable. Ethiopia is not just poor financially, but it is pitiable because it lacks leadership at this critical time of its history when its very survival is in doubt. The PP not only are useless to confront the challenges the country faces, but Abiy has single handedly exacerbated the situation to breaking point by starting wars, mismanaging the economy and wasting enormous resources on pointless Potemkin projects. He has turned virtaully all neighbours into enemies. For example, there are persistent and credible reports that he, at the Pretoria talks, proposed to Tsadqan and Getachew Reda that they both unite to destroy Eritrea. Can you imagine the stupidity of such an idea. The boy is incredibly stupid. Listen to the moron pontificate of how to turn foreign disasters into opportunities. He has no idea that the world is interlocked.

I think what's more concerning is Ethiopia's inability to import fertilizers from China and India before the rainy season starts in June, which is crucial for planting and growing crops.

But I think what's even more tragic is, Ethiopia, a country sitting on top of vast potash deposit will go hungry just because all its energy is channeled towards its futile efforts to prevent its neighboring African countries from mining their potash deposits. አንዱን ዓይኔን አጥፋው ...
