In the 1960s, the main motto of the Ethiopian student movement and it's bitterness was "the country dresses shema, eats injera and practice Orthodox religion". There are lots to motives and components in these movements. There were marxists who view the world only from Marxist perspective and those ethno-nationalists who are primarily motivated on waging ethnic conflicts and harm what they felt very inferior to, in this case the existing culture, way of life, belief system and the people who live as such.
The fool marxists went away after losing miserably while the ethno nationalists continued their long projects that brought us where we are now.
To understand ethno nationalists, one need to pretend and live, eat and hangout with them pretending one of them. And one of the things they hate most is cultures like the below. Just seeing it, it eats their heart out. Why because it reminds them that they have nothing to be proud about. No creativity, culture or nothing. Another good exhibit on this is their behaviors on online forums like this and social medias where their faces is musked where they vent their pain freely.
Due to the above, we can safely say the below is the culture of the North particularly the Amhara & Tigray. Let's not brand it as Ethiopian as it is exclusive to the Orthodox faith followers for millenia. Above all, learn and behold that the listros and those who have no good past see such materials with extreme envy and pettiness
