What does it mean to act on a volatile situation? When the world around you is so unstable, changing fast, and shifting all the time, what do you do? How do you handle it? Where do you stand?

All actions under conditions of uncertainty are forms or types of gambling actions. For example, consider the TPLF, OLA and Fano united front. They are fighting to take over the government of Ethiopia by removing Abiy Ahmed's regime while being uncertain of their victory. What kind of behavior is such an act? It is a gambling behavior.
So, here is where you need the intervention of intelligence and science. When you fight a war, any war, dying and killing is certain. There is no doubting about the certainty of that reality. So, when a group of people decide to die while they are uncertain of the outcome of their decision, they are gambling with their lives.
For example, a scientist will not send a man to the moon, if he is uncertain about the man's moon landing. A doctor will not treat you with a poison (medicine) unless he is certain about the efficacy of the medicine.
And, in human psychology, there is something called 'the feeling of certainty'. For a lot of non-thinking and unintentional people, the realness of something is a feeling of certainty, it is not a confirmed fact. And, this why, there are only a small % of humanity who are successful, achieved, genius, and true leaders.
All those who act in this world based of the feeling of certainty alone are the gamblers of the world and most of the times the losers of their games.
