Over 446 manufacturing industries stopped production in Ethiopia as of early 2022 due to various economic challenges.. More recently, reports indicate a severe decline in business, with over 23,000 medium enterprises closing in 2024 and 18 foreign companies exiting industrial parks following the AGOA suspension.
