TPLF did not make purity of blood as the main criterion for one to be admitted as a member. For Fano membership, a potential member has to prove his flesh and bone and his blood should be Amara. Shy of mitocindrial testing, they ask you that your ancestors up to 7 generation were "pure Amara" without Agew, Wimant, Awi, Oromo, Tigry, and every other black Ethiopian.

It is Ok if one Amhara has some Oromo, Agew or Tigre mix somewhere 3rd or 4th generation. What we don't want is a Gurage listro mix. Because a Gurage gene is submissive, coward, theif and crook by nature.
