Of course ownership of spiritual faith is a creation human society. Any creation of art, material or spiritual is within the definition of civilization. It's only who created the civilization are credited with ownership of civilization. North Ethiopia is not. Orthodox now a religion only in Ethiopia was a Christian cult that came out of the Eastern Orthodox in Syria and expelled.

(oroental orthodox: eritrean, ethiopian, syrian, egypt and armenian; eastern is the greek and old yugoslavia, Russia etc).
EoC was formed by a syrian named Frumentius in the right way but together with other oriental churches above later rejected the Christological definition of the Council of Chalcedon (451 AD) that is accepted by catholic, eastern orthodox and protestants, favoring miaphysitism over the "two natures" definition of Chalcedon. This happened long after Frumentius's death. After that the EoC "ሊቃውንት"
