A serious question to any sensible person!

Is Isayas Afeworki really a normal person? Please be very objective and answer this question, it could be a clue for a much bigger question about the man's overall creation.

Somebody built such a global iconic structure and offered him to have a part in it, the man rejected the offer outright! Mind you this is regarded by many people the second Adwa, the precursor of freedom of the black race and all other people of the world that have suffered under the yoke of colonization by others.

As a black man how can someone who considers himself a black distance himself from Adwa? This needs further and deeper investigation about the personality of the man.

What did Adwa do for Africans! Nothing! In fact, Minilik sold millions of Oromo slaves because he was emboldened by Adwa and conquered Oromos and started their enslavement for more than 70 years. Moreover, Minilik, who was darker than many American Negoes claimed he was not a Negro. But even for Ethiopians, Adwa was a disaster. Instead of using it to catapault themselves, they remained dormant for a century. Having won a one day battle against a white army that they outnumbered 20 to 1; they felt they had nothing more to do and stayed primitive for a century! .

I didn't expect a different answer from a descendant of the people of Askari's history, you are a misfit. The question was directed to a sensible person, read it again!

I am totally baffled by the current position of a descendent of the millions who were enslaved and brutalized as a consequence of Adwa! I am certain that this was not your position 10 years ago. But now that you believe the Oromos at the helm in Ethiopia you have decided to forget the dark side of Adwa! Pathetic opportunism. I wonder what you are going to say when Abiy and the Oromuma project are defeated!

There were many who tried to destroy Ethiopia possibly over centuries, all of them failed and Ethiopia is still thriving, Isayas himself tried the whole of his adult life to help those trying to destroy Ethiopia, while he is nearing his grab unsuccessfully Ethiopia thrives.

Good luck to him, in succeeding!

Ethiopia was not destroyed when she was more weak, now she is in a much better shape to defend herself, it can help to grasp this simple fact in time!

Let alone for other nations people such as Eritreans, I'm not going to ask what Ethiopia has done for the people of Tigray. The original poster of this thread mentioned that PIA doesn't require anything from Ethiopia—not even electricity. Given your reputation for having a low IQ, it's clear you didn't read that statement carefully.

sesame:

The tragedy in Eritrea after Adwa is extremely sad.

It wasn’t our people’s making? Was it?

The Exodus itself was an ancient tragedy.

We the “primitive” have been enlightening you that Moses was the Pharaoh par excellence.

While at it, be reminded that ጎይታ and ገብረ are organic ቦረና words. These suggest that we have a lot to learn from one another.

To try to be part of the solution instead of perpetuating the tragedy is a choice you can make.

Why do you refuse to be enlightened?

LOL! Lying to spread hate and division, like Tesfaye Gebreab did (may he rest in p*ss), is part of your dna. Menelik II didn't even live 20 years after Adwa. He did not sell Oromo slaves. The notorious slaver and seller of Oromos was Abba Jifar of Jimma. Menelik II sent him a letter urging him to cease and desist. One "questionable" thing Menelik II did that I support is chopping off captured askari soldiers' hands during the battle of Adwa. Served them right!
