2nd generation Pentey will always end up being either Atheist or Orthodox. Pentey is a short term thing for mentally unstable and troubled individuals. There are millions of ex-pentecostals in U.S alone. This experience is the same everywhere else

America's irreligiousity is due to modernization, capitalism, Darwinism, individualism, secularism and scientific progress, low birthrates are also a .

Religion is for countries that are collectivist, tribalist, and lack secular developments. A

Most Penteys in Ethiopia are Southerners who are mentally 90 years behind an average American so you're dumb for thinking they will become atheist. Same as in Gojjam where your kids have no shoes and live like animals

Poor people have always been religious
Primitive people have always been religious
Uneducated people have always been religious

So your argument based in America doesn't work in Ethiopia that same America is embracing LGBTQ Along with Europe and even Orthodox Greece legalized Homœsexual marriages

You missed one crucial factor when it comes to religious affairs/institutions.

Pentes selling point when they started in Ethiopia says "We don't follow organized religion, just accept Jesus as your personal savior and voila". They used that mantra to blame Orthodox & Catholics as worldly organizations controlled by humans. That worked like a magic for average to lower IQ individuals and membership swelled.

Fast forward 30-40 years, Pente become an uncontrolled bull with so many heresy to its belief systems in addition to what the initial hersey has. Everyone became pastor, prophet, bishop, apostle, man of God.....etc. including the practice of hom0$exuality.

With that corruption, scandalous $ex, theft and so many ills started to surface. People were coerced to give their 10% earnings and more. At this point, there is no authoritative body to control the religious afair and excommunicate bad apples. The evil work started to spread like wild fire. That authoritative body that is missing in Pente exists in Orthodox and Catholic at every structure from the local church, to the regional all the way to the country as synod and patriarch/pope.

Having seeing how amateur they were, the protestant elders in Ethiopia decided to mimic Orthodox and created a religious body that governs over all protestant congregations and formed an entity called "The Council". But. It was too late. The likes of Eyu Chufa, Esrael Dansa and thousands of other pastors, fake prophets..etc are already too powerful than these council. :P

The Council is also an ill formed decision when it tried to be the head of different dinomination such as Lutheran and Full Gospel, Meserete Cristos, Kale Hiwot...etc. These churches are totally different when it comes to key Christology and Sanctivity topics. They just said Ok to be together because they thought their main target is Orthodox church. Otherwise, in other part of the world, Lutheran and Full Gospel don't even worship in the same church. They have their own church's and structures.

In conclusion, Pente in general has no structure, has too many denominations each of them having different doctrines exposing it to so many of the ills that made them a laughing matter. This will be exasperated leading to the final phases we witnessed in the West where the good majority will ultimately giving up being religious and adopt atheism.

Brother Fasil, the above analysis is for individuals with IQ higher than 70. I doubt you will understand it since your iQ is 56. Regardless, I can post the same version for intelligence capacity like you.

Peace

Mesereknesh

That doesn't matter. organized religion is a new invention that is entirely new to Africa. Starting from Judaism that was centered on the small Jewish tribes and moving outwards with Christianity and Islam

In Southern Ethiopia there has never been a history of organized religion. The south has various pagan traditions and gods. So you think the liberal and free-spirited Pentes don't allign with the south? In my opinion the south is aligned with non organized religions they do not need organized and authoritarian structures like in your Orthodox Church where you guys fight each other for Patriarchy status and are now divided by tribe. Both tigray and Oromia synods threaten to leave the Ethiopian synod. Meserek dressed in black and Abiy gave 60% of Orthodox positions to Oromo even though Oromo orthodox are only 30% of Ethiopian Orthodox Church Adherents.
