At least the Ethiopian Orthodox church does not preach people to follow it's version of Christianity.
The European versions of Christianity isn't authentic too.It is the Romans who introduced Christian beliefs to Europe in the first place with their own interpretation and some additions (New testament).
There is always uneasy feeling among Europeans to discover blacks have been Christians long before them.

Is found as house n.... worshipping colonization. Mind you, he criticizes the closest to Christ the Christianity adapted in 4th century in Ethiopia and yet he claims true Christianity arose from colonizers. Odie is most likely Kembata he is hiding his identity. Most hide behind Gurage. I think in Gurage the majority are either Orthodox or Muslim very few Catholics and Protestants. Odie grew up with Protestant baby bottle. Churches are being shut down in West or they out lgb....flag on it. 1. You said: At least the Ethiopian Orthodox church does not preach people to follow its version of Christianity: It does not preach but since early Christianity Ethiopian christians were required to wear non-biblical "mateb" as Christianity became government religion. This was heavily reinforced during Atse Yohannes and Wollo, at least by oral history, suffered as it had many non christians. Yes, when ethnics submitted to the kings, they were required to be orthodox christians. When evangelicals came to the country they were instructed to go to south to teach as the north is historically Christian. There is no problem if they preached or preach others to be Christian as far as not by force, as the bible does instruct to witness Christianity to non christians. This was instructed by Jesus and is called the great commission. Go to all over the world and tell all people around the world about the good news/Jesus work for salvation (whether they accept it or not being their decision).
My problem with EOC is not because it is historically Ethiopian or committed atrocity. My problem is it directly or indirectly helped the kings and dictators to oppress the people and to see them as "GOD SEND" (Like the lion of Juda: the bible says only Jesus is the lion of Juda). The church was used to subdue Ethiopians and to keep it busy by observing Hebrew (not necessarily New Testament or Christian) traditions/cultures that still burdens the Ethiopian poor. These included the likes of unnecessary sabbath observation like Jews, celebrating the 44 something tabots and angelic or martyr celebration days. Also, food faddism burdens the poor. EoC was most part was the religion of the ruling class and the rich not the poor throughout Ethiopian history.
2. The European versions of Christianity isn't authentic too. It is the Romans who introduced Christian beliefs to Europe in the first place with their own interpretation and some additions (New testament): I don't agree with you. First Christianity was not introduced by Romans. Check out the work of the apostles specially apostle Paul. Apostle Paul is known as the apostle of the Gentiles (AHIZAB). He was a Jew "Pharisee, son of a Pharisee" (Acts 23:6) and was trained under the respected rabbi Gamaliel. Jesus met him on the road to Damascus in a vision and converted to Christianity. He is credited to spreading Christianity to Rome (center of Roman empire, Greek, today's Turky and etc) in persecution and affliction. Christians were hated during Roman Empire specially at the time of Nero and were killed, made fight with caged animals romans to see the fight. Chistians were killed and buried during roman emperors in the catacombs, following the cruel persecutions willed by Emperors Decius, Valerianus and Diocletian.
Constantine the Great (Constantine I) was the first Roman emperor to convert to Christianity, reigning from 306 to 337 AD. Reportedly following a vision before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 AD, he championed Christianity, issued the Edict of Milan to legalize it, and initiated the empire's transition into a Christian state. Otherwise before this emperor became christian, christianity was already in todays Europe at least up to Rome, current day Italy. Basically, the author or Christianity is Jesus not a European or any particular race. Followers of Jesus were first called "Christians" in the city of Antioch, as recorded in Acts 11:26. This term was likely coined by outsiders, potentially as a mockery or label for those belonging to the "party of Christ," which the believers eventually adopted. Prior to this, they were referred to as disciples, believers, or "the Way". Of course once the Roman emperors started to believe in it, they instructed their subjects to follow christianity and subsequently it spread to the rest of Europe with the collapse or Roman Empire. Christianity was officially adopted in Ethiopia (the Kingdom of Aksum) during the 4th century (circa 325–350 AD) under the reign of Emperor Ezana. This conversion coincided with the reign of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great and later Constantius II, with St. Frumentius playing a key role. This shows how Christianity from being the people's religion and ended up being a tool in the hands of Emperors and rulers. It became the banner of civilization in opposition to pagan practice. It was abused for colonization intent as so called non-christian nations were colonized to "enlighten" them. There is a long church history of agreeing which books/writings should be included in the bible based on strict criteria. As knowledge in theology increased doctrines/canons separated. This resulted in different christian branches the earlies the different orthodox churches and catholic church the latter of which remained very influential in Europe and wherever they went. Later the protestant groups rose. In conclusion, it is erroneous to state Europeans created their christianity and Ethiopians created their own. After all Ethiopian christianity was introduced by Frumentius. St. Frumentius was a 4th-century Syrian Greek (specifically Phoenician from Tyre, in modern-day Lebanon) who introduced Christianity to Ethiopia. The problem was Christianity at later days became associated with rulers. Ethiopia with a history of fighting colonialists saw Europeans in suspiciously and remained isolated for long ending up developing its own version of christianity influenced by the Solomonic dynasty Kings and Hebrew/Jewish cultural/traditional influences. The number of books in the bible were picked by strict criteria in many of the christian branches ending up with their own number of books. EoC included many of the books assumed to be biblical and ended up having a large number of bible books some of which are not accepted by many other Christian branching giving EoC current picture which is not necessarily accepted by all. So, it is not invented here or there thing. The only difference is deciding how many books to include in the bible or not. My feeling is the larger the number of books included in EoC bible gave rise to many non-biblical practices swaying the attention of the believers away from Jesus WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE CENTER OF THE BIBLE. It does not mean EoC bible is the best or uncolonized and we should be proud about it. In fact, it has to be scrutinized with comparison of other brotherly christian groups, and the practice be directed to reveal Jesus more. Because Ethiopia had European colonization attempt and war should not mean we should be living in fear of cultural or other invasion forever and preserve the country as UNESCO souvenir. The country has to change in many ways. We should be able to communicate with the rest of the world and stand on the same footing but be smart in thinking and acting. Christians are brothers and sisters and should work to narrow their differences as the early christians/churches did not reflect the division we have all over the world. Jesus knows one universal church, not catholic, orthodox etc. He will pick his true practicing believers in whichever church they are all over the world.
3. There is always uneasy feeling among Europeans to discover blacks have been Christians long before them: That is wrong argument. Although Ethiopians should be proud of their christian heritage from ancient time, we should not be that paranoid to say: oh, Europians are uncomfortable to see blacks have christianity long before them. etc. They already left us in many things behind to be frank. Even our early christianity did not save us from remaining behind in many things specially in technology and reasoning. I really hate to look at it that way. Of course, them, or many others will be surprised to find Ethiopia to have accepted christianity long before many of them. I don't think that is a reason to make them feel uneasy. That is why I feel we should stop that kind of awkward thinking and be proud of what we have and able to show it the world but if there is something that is not acceptable in our belief system which is not in line with biblical or Jesus teachings, we should be open to weed out those impurities.
Today, the world is one and Ethiopians have to object isolationism that persisted for long. Interactions may not be easy. All countries are driven by their interests. Interactions with other continents or countries is a kind of game, take and give. Can not be always smooth but play is smart should be the logic.
4. Here is one European bible: I may have my opinion on catholic bible or practices. I don't want to comment on that. My comment on EoC is because it affects Ethiopians. However, I have appreciated the Catholic church's current ammendement and change about Jesus. Here is the recent change they made: In November 2025, the Vatican, under Pope Leo XIV, issued a decree formally prohibiting the use of the title "co-redemptrix" or "co-redeemer" for the Virgin Mary. The decree confirms that Jesus alone redeemed humanity, emphasizing his exclusive role in salvation and preventing confusion regarding Catholic doctrine. .
Ethiopian orthodox Church should make similar bold changes in many of its controversial non-biblical practices and reducing the number of intercessors it says can be used while Jesus is still there. .

You are bothered and hold grudges by history you can’t change. The Solomon dynasty what ever it has been, the orthodox church of Ethiopia which played a pivotal role in teaching and transforming Ethiopia, Emperor H/S, the Iconic emperor Minlick etc you have a problem with all these Ethiopian heritages.
Nobody is perfect, the Orthodox Church, Emperor Minlick and Emperor H/S may have their own shortcomings but they don’t deserve your disrespect.
Needless to say you are showing a great effort to defend and shield the Pentecostal faith.
I don’t believe in religion. I have my own theory about religion which I keep private to myself. But I don’t interfere in what others believe.
Keep your faith to yourself and stay in your lane.
