Before 1920s, Oromo villages were found far west of Dre Dawa. Now, nearly half the population of Dre Dawa is Oromo. Somalis and Oromos govern Dre Dawa in turn every 5 years. Ethiopia allowed it. Also allowed a complete annihilation of Gurages in Amaya, Tulu Bolo, Goro, Weliso, Sodo Jida, Seden Sodo, Dacha, Kersa & Malima of Gurage lands and people.
