A few people in the upper echelons thrived, while the rest of the population was forced to become mine-sweepers and cannon fodder in someone else's wars. Food production was replaced with long lines of people queuing for food-aid. It became common to hear Ethiopians say they don't care whether it rains in Ethiopia as long as it rains in Iowa. Popular hit songs like "ውጋ ንቀል ወድር!" dominated the Ethiopian Billboard charts for decades. etc...etc.....

Ethiopia is poor because it has always been ruled by mercenaries with poverty mindset.

I am an Eritrean-American and unlike your wrinkled low IQ sob, yes I know both country in and out. My assessment is your country Ethiopia is dirt poor than Eritrea by any measure.
