Does your church forbid to sing and pray in your first language? I know Kistane musicians are free to create music in their labguage, Amharic and Oromo.
In the 1830s, during the reign of King Sahle Sellasie I, Amharic Bible and prayers in Amharic was considered dirty, ungodly. People used read bibles written only in Geez.
If your church forbids use of the people's language, it's against the constitution. As such illegal and can successfully be sued in a court of law. It will lose the legal battle. If the paintifs demand punitive damages for all these years forbidding them to use their language, the court will award them millions of birr. Guranted.

Two very simple questions.
First, is this a diabolical hate or a constructive criticism of an administration of a church, at some point in history, that believes in divine matters.
Second, do you have a reference where the church used the words you use here for your accusations.

I read it long time ago. The German missionaries in Shewa in the 1830s were the first to translate the Bible to Amharic . When they distribute it to the people, many rejected it because it was written in Amharic.

በኢትዮጵያ ሳይሆን በአፍሪካ አንደኛ የሚሆን ገዳም ነው ተብሏል!
