It is a must for UAE to recognize Somaliland if they want to secure their vital strategic interest in the Red Sea. It seems that UAE is coordinating its final move with US plans for the regions.

I don’t think they the uae would do it they are an Arab league member Somalia is an Arab league member so. They won’t do it if Ethiopia couldn’t dare to do it. After israeli recognition what makes u think the uae would do it with much more baggage they threw the palestenians under the bus when they normalised ties with Israel . Do you think they can break up an Arab States no chance

But the poor PP sheep are in a state of complete denial. In addition to what you outlined, Saudi Arabia has now warned Emirates not to recognize Somalind. If Horsey thinks UAE is going to risk getting mauled by MBS for Ethiopia, then he his stupider than I thought so far!

Uae. Might convince other countries to recognise Somaliland as it did with Israel. . But they can’t recognise Somaliland they can’t do it for very obvious reasons It will create a crisis in the Arab countries. Relations with Saudi and Qatar is already bad. Horus doesn’t know what he is talking let him dream about sea out let

I said Somaliland recognition lies in Mogadishu the parent country is the only one that can let go of Somaliland
As of today Mogadishu isn’t ready do that

The only thing that can change Somaliland status of major western country recognise it Britain the United States. But they know the sensitivities regarding issue

If there was another break through it has to be several African countries but i don’t see that happening because the au consider this dangerous precedent. Ethiopia can’t do it either because the Somalis in the Ogaden want independence or even Tigray. Though not comparible to Somaliland status how ever no one wants to open that door not even the galla prime minister abiye Ahmed

You idiots, Somaliland’s recognition as a sovereign state is dead on arrival at the UN ala China even if it gets like Palestine which has over 130 countries as supporters for recognition and yet is being Vetoed by the USA at the UN.
Why the fu’ck every body is talking about this subject is mind boggling.
It is dead just like Ethiopia is dead.

Why are the Eris so hurting and in so much pain with the success of Somali Land.

It is much better to work on their relationship with Ethiopia than working to sabotage something they cannot.

With or without Somali Land, Ethiopians will never use Assab or Massawa until the Afars are in control of it.

It is over. What kind of a NO do they understand.
It is a big NO.

I don’t think they are not aiming for united nation acceptannce they are now working to get countries to recognise them Israel and if they get USA break through but we shall see how it further evolves if the get a major western ally support that will be a break through .I don’t think china will veto it when the time comes I believe Somaliland cut ties with taiwan to get acces to the united nation and then re establis ties with the taiwan . Even if they don’t ever get un seat like taiwan or palestine or kosovo who don’t have un acceptance for them state to state ties is more significa time will tell. I spoke to a Somaliland diplomat last week. He said our focus now is Africa and Europe
Let’s see how that goes

Zach the newly born camel’s mom pu’ssy sniffer. China already said that it is for United Somalia.
Even if it didn’t say so, China recognizing Somaliland as a sovereign nation is like China shooting its own beautiful feet.
You dumb a’ss go figure what I mean.
This is agame USA playing ala Israel to test the bigger and hottest water.
Use your outdated mushroom brain you idiot.
Palestine has recognition of over 130 countries, but your evil master USA always use its veto power against it.
So if that can’t be accomplished how the hell do you believe 1,2, 3 or even 100 countries recognizing Somaliland will materialized?

ur a novice one must acknowledge that the United States’ frequent vetoes concerning Palestine are closely tied to its unwavering alliance with Israel. In contrast, the question of Somalia’s territorial integrity is of far less consequence to China. The notion that Beijing would expend a veto over whether Somalia remains a single state or fractures into three is implausible; the matter simply does not rise to the level of China’s strategic priorities.

While China maintains trade relations with Somalia, supplying a variety of goods, these ties are not indispensable to its economic or geopolitical interests. Similarly, China’s opposition to Somaliland’s independence is relatively muted, its principal concern lying elsewhere most notably with Taiwan. Somaliland’s engagement with Taiwan appears, in part, a strategic manoeuvre to curry favour with the United States, and it has proved effective to date since SL recongtion from Israel US ally.

Yet, the commercial dimension complicates the picture Chinese trade with Somaliland continues apace, with local business communities importing substantial quantities of Chinese goods, notwithstanding Beijing’s official stance in favour of a unified Somalia. In essence, China balances its principle of Somali unity against pragmatic economic interests, prioritising its broader strategic concerns over the Horn of Africa’s internal divisions indeed. not that deep dear lad.
