Axumezana agrees with you! That is a smart move by Israel and it is an opportunity for Ethiopia to exploit ! Leveraging on it's strategic relationship with Israel and USA , Ethiopia can counter the threat from Egypt , Turkey. Iran and other Arab countries. Actually a fierce competition on investing in Ethiopia is expected by the Arabs/ including Turkey , Asians( like China & India) and Western Countries, if Ethiopia is going to be peaceful within itself and with very minimal corruption. On this issue, you and I have same correct position. But stop underestimating Abiy. He is smart and doing very good. You see, Turkey and China were the two key powers who opposed us to finalize MOU. Because of Taiwan, china is so against Somaliland and since Turkey owns Somalia, it stopped us from acting on the MOU.

Now consider what Abiy did. Abiy built amazing alliance with India and he formed amazing alliance with Israel! By doing so, he practically rendered Egypt useless. Now ask yourself what can Egypt do to Ethiopia? Nothing.

Djibouti will have to work with Ethiopia for her own existence. Ethiopia can fully mover her commercial activities to Berbera and continue to look for a Naval base - be it Assab, Djibouti, Zayla, Berbera , Puntland etc.

As we speak, Djibouti can not black mail Ethiopia any more.

Who knows what Ethiopia and Somaliland have cooked in secret.

So my point is you Tigreans need to shift your psychology from resistance to positive cooperation and develop your region like every body else.

My dear you don't get it no foreigners including Arabs and Egypt should penetrate the Horn or East Africa. It is the same colonization and resource appropriation. Djibouti is drowning in foreign bases. Ethiopia will be done soon in this case many who are sell outs are ruling , patriots are dead or left the country.
