Call it by its present legal name. It's called Addis Abeba University. It took 1000s of lives, 1000s of limbs and imprisonments of selfless patriots to achieve this name. Honor their lives. Honor its new name.

Before 75 years (in 1950 GC) many African countries were not even independent and they were languishing under the yoke of colonization, Ethiopia was a pioneer in this regard.
Today Addis Abeba University is not even in the top categories of African Universities, a sad story. I am also not sure if this university has managed to produce the best minds of African intellectuals.

Everything is copy and paste, unfortunate matter. Most Ethiopian intellectuals are still in a deep sleep, they are selfish and dishonest, they care less for the well being of the country before that of their own personal gains.

well, who is to blame but us. First came stupid Derg and destroyed everything just because something had the name of the king on it. That is how shallow and stupid the generation was. Then came a truly anti-Ethiopia group of Tigre bandas who en masse fired seasoned university professors because they were Amaras or non-Tigres. So, higher education was literally destroyed between 1975 and 2020, that almost 1/2 a century of destruction.

In other words in its 75 years of existence Haile Selassie university, 45 years were time destruction not growth or refinement. So we are talking about may be 20 years real intellectual growth.

This the sad story.

Ecstatic that we will infact live together happily forever. As you can see Whorus below is on the same page with you that Gurage has no quams who rules Ethiopia, a rotten monarck or a dictator who no longer is a military. And, I and I, are very pleased this decade is Oromo's turn.

No, it is not, the reason being that we have many people like you among us, which caused us fail perpetually. The generations before us were so lucky that they didn't have much the same as you amidst themselves.
