The Somaliland-Djibouti Conflict

Djibouti is becoming desperate. This tiny entity is the most irrational and badly managed port city-state, the kingdom of one sheik.
In its effort to stop Ethiopia from diversifying its port sources and block all Ethiopian paths to sea access, it deals and allies with mortal historical enemy of Ethiopia, that is, Egypt.
It consistently tries to black mail Ethiopia on its commercial activities.
Because Djibouti fears the rise of Berbera so much it has tried everything between heaven and earth to block the statehood of Somaliland by helping Somalia to thwart SLR' effort for international recognition.
The Israeli recognition of SLR and American support of this act has hit Djibouti like nuclear missile.
Djibouti's current desperate move is to arm and mobilize the Adal (Adwal) tribe, a people historically so close to Ethiopia and distant Ethiopia blood. The Adals were the people of Harar in the middle ages, in the 15th and 16th century.
Now, what?
Somaliland republic now can build a powerful army, get armed, build a powerful security and intelligence and handle the adwal issue by means of diplomacy or otherwise.
As for Djibouti, it is attempting something losing game. Somaliland is a free state now. Djibouti must think about its permanent geographic tie with SLR.
Djibouti' s plan of using Adal as a buffer between Djibouti and Somaliland will collapse as soon as SLR secures major international alliances and security relations. Djibouti or Adwal state is too small to stand against SLR.
