As the newly BRICS member, would Ethiopia dare to recognize Somali Land ? 
As far as I am concerned Somali Land deserves to be free. So does Taiwan and many other countries that are subjugated against their will.-

If the US recognizes
Somali Land, the whole controversy will be over. Off course, China would not be pleased. China has its own dirty laundry. In Taiwan. i dont think Ethiopia will recognise Somaliland , if meles was in power yes because meles once said he would be the second country to do so
