Is Dr. Abiy Dismantling the System of Amharic Domination (SAD) and Fostering a System of Oromic Leadership (SOL)?

The Oromo liberation struggle must focus on dismantling the more than 750-year-old System of Amharic Domination (SAD) in order to build a demographically and geographically legitimate System of Oromic Leadership (SOL) within a democratic, multilingual Ethiopia. The colonial-era theory that Oromia must separate from Ethiopia is less beneficial than transforming Ethiopia itself into Oropia—an Oromic-led geo-federation.
Historically, Ethiopian politics has followed a natural trajectory:
Amapia – an Amharic-dominated geo-federation,
Rainbow Ethiopia – a transitional multi-national federation,
Oropia – a future democratic federation led by Oromummà and guided by Oromic.
If Dr. Abiy Ahmed wishes to leave a positive legacy in Oromo history, he must stop preserving Amapia and instead promote the transition toward SOL. Oromo society—especially republican, forward-looking elites—must prioritize this systemic shift from SAD to SOL.
