I am not an Eritrean and hate to argue about Eritrea with you. However,

I can assure you one of them at least is a person I knew closely for some reason. These guys are religious guys imprisoned on suspicion mostly.

It is just like Derg time.

Derg felt evangelicals and some strict orthodox Christians were not patriotic and they caused the youth not to be patriotic and sent them to prison. I have seen that. From college many of our friends were sent to prison saying they were evangelicals and they opposed Marxist ideology.

It would be good on Shabiya to free these religious figures; some are sick people (if still alive) who are fathers etc. If they don't want to keep them inland, they could send them to exile. These are your own people who need to be free. Shabiya released a bunch of people recently and should the same to the remaining. Mercy and forgiveness is a good character
